Why Jane Littlefield chose Great Longstone
We live just around the corner and have lived in this beautiful village since 2000 so we can personally recommend the location, walks and surrounding area. It also means we are on hand for key collection or any queries during your stay without being intrusive.
What makes this Bungalow unique
The property is centrally located in the village, has fantastic views of Longstone Edge and overlooks the cricket ground, in the summer months you can relax in the pretty garden, or conservatory listening to the sound of leather on willow. Walk or cycle down the Monsal trail, less than 500 yards away, this reinstated railway line with it's 9 tunnels is a popular draw for outdoor enthusiasts.

Lovely bungalow in peak district
We've just had a really lovely stay in this terrific bungalow in the peak district. It was clean, comfortable and provided everything necessary for a great holiday. Jane and Sara were fantastic hosts and available to answer any queries. Really hope to be able to have a return visit.
Peaceful, cosy and comfortable cottage close to various attractions, ideal for families
We stayed here over May half term holidays and it was a lovely peaceful retreat at the end of the day. Our girls (aged 8 and 4) particularly loved the garden which overlooks the park/cricket pitch where you can relax with a good book, and there are plenty of herbs growing for cooking, and the conservatory. Everything was provided for and communication was excellent with the owner Jane. Clean, comfortable beds and a well-working shower. There's an excellent pub, The White Lion within walking distance and a village store, and a good Co-op in Bakewell 20 min drive away.
There is plenty to do for families in the area. We visited Matlock (check out the aquarium and holographic museum), Heights of Abraham which features cable cars and caves. Alton Towers/CBeebies Land, Crich Tramway Village had plenty to do from arts and crafts to a lovely woodland walk and sculpture park, Gulliver's Kingdom was a great day out too (prepare for steep parking) and we also visited Speedwell Cavern and Bakewell which is good for shopping.
Would highly recommend and our girls loved it.
