Overview

About the property

Apartment, 2 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

This fine two bedroom property is an outstanding accommodation for four people traveling to London for a holiday or for business. The flat is done to a very comfortable standard with lovely decorative items throughout. The living room is 'English' in every sense of the word. Two large, comfortable blue sofas frame a decorative fireplace in a lounge filled with charm.

The flat is reached by taking either the elevator or private staircase to the garden level. Even though the flat is on partial lower ground level at the front, it opens up onto a trellised patio, which has stairs up to the communal garden at the back. The garden square just behind and belonging to the flat is exquisite (excellent walking/running path in the gardens).

The entire flat is amply lit with numerous windows, both front and back. There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a QUEEN-SIZE bed; the second bedroom has 2 TWIN BEDS (the virtual tour shows a double bed which is no longer accurate). Both bedrooms benefit from two en suite bathrooms. Both bathrooms have mounted showers over tubs, wash hand basins, and loos. There is a third toilet station in an additional half bathroom.

The kitchen is well equipped with washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, hob, and oven. In the large lounge, a dining table for six adds to the comfort of this lovely room.

The Gloucester Road Tube station is 5 minutes away; Earls Court Tube Station is 2 minutes away--both right on the Piccadilly Line. Perfect! The building itself, located in picturesque Bramham Gardens, is a red brick period building, terribly charming, and beautifully maintained. This is a lovely property and highly recommended. When one walks into this flat, so well maintained and cared for, there is an immediate feeling of comfort and home. Such a good value, especially with a house maid each Friday morning who cares for the property itself. Enjoy the photos; they are lovely. HIGH-SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET

5 night minimum for most reservations. 3 nights considered within 30 days of arrival.

Discounted monthly prices available.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our stay was great. The flat was clean, comfortable and very conveniently located. Dave, our driver, was very informative upon our arrival and Ricardo, who let us into flat was also friendly and informative. The morning after our arrival we ran out of hot water after a few showers and I e-mailed Ricardo to ask about the hot water. We were out sight-seeing all day and when I returned I found that he had sent 2 e-mails and had someone come to flat to check setting on water heater. Problem solved! No shortage of hot water after that. The rest of our stay was perfect. All the staff at London Connections that we encountered were friendly and attentive and would highly recommend using London Connection any future travel. I hope I have an opportunity to visit again.

a comfortable place

  • 4 of 5

My son and I stayed at this flat in Kensington. The decor charming and relaxed. The garden lovely. Lots of nice pubs (particularly the Pembroke on Old Brompton Rd) and restaurants in the area, and a quick walk to the underground. Nice television in the living room. The only down side is that the bath tubs are unusually high thus making stepping in and out somewhat difficult even a bit risky.

perfect location for a family trip

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I took our son and nephew to London last fall and stayed in this flat. It was so spacious and beautiful. The flat is a typical English flat with all the charm you would want with an updated feel. The location could NOT have been any better. We were so close to many of the museums as well as fabulous shopping . My husband and I felt secure with the two boys going out on their own in the area . It's on a beautiful street which was extremely quiet considering how close we were to the main street . It has a quaint back patio that opens up to a beautiful small private park for the neighborhood. We had so many restaurants and grocery stores within a blocks walk. We were also so pleased to be so close to a tube station. We were also very happy with how easy it was to hail a cab from street, as sometimes it's difficult on some of the roads. We can not say enough great things about this flat. We plan to visit again and we hope to stay in this flat. Thank you to London connections for the wonderful service you provide!

Convenient location. Comfortable space. A well lighted basement apartment. A map of the immediate surrounding area with street names and bus stops noted would have been helpful. Instructions for use of appliaces in information folder, too. Drivers were very professional and helpful. Elevator was out of order.

Steep narrow stairs to street and garden were the only bad feature, but worth it to not be in a hotel room for that price. I was beginning to feel at home

Just Average

  • 3 of 5

We (husband & wife) stayed at this flat for one week, having just returned last night -May 24th.

The flat is in an excellent location with the underground & many pubs very nearby.

The neighborhood is very safe, quiet, beautiful and with a lot of historical character.

The bedrooms & livingroom (sitting room) are large for the age of the property.

There were a few pieces of furniture that we would replace if we were the owners. The bureau in the master bedroom is an antique but, to us, that doesn't mean it should be worn out to the point that we would be embarrassed to have any of our guests use it. The top has a great deal of scratches and the bottoms of the drawers have many splits.

Since the photos were posted, one red couch has been replaced with two tan stuffed chairs. They look nice but the cushions are very flat leaving you sinking in to the springs. We used tossed pillows to make the chairs more comfortable.

Other than that we were pleased with the flat, Cristina, and our drivers.

We have stayed in several vacation rentals and have appreciated the independence and size when compared to hotels. We would consider this property in the future if upgrades to the aged furniture were made.

Overall, we find this propery average for the price given the pricey neighborhood it sits in.

Shabby and Old

  • 1 of 5

My family and I stayed here for a week in December. The furnishings are old and very shabby. The whole flat is musty and like something from another century. The carpets are disgusting with black damp marks along the sides (I have pics). The two red couches in the living room are dirty, lumpy and very uncomfortable. There was a spider web in the twin bathroom so cleaning not that thorough.

The tenants above are beyond noisy and heavy walkers. There is a renovation going on in the flat parallel to this one. Drills start at 8 am precisely yay! The towels supplied are like rags. I asked for wash cloths and was told by "Cristina" from the firm London Connections that "American's are so picky". I'm not an American but do live in the U.S. Ricardo dropped off some wash cloths later that day but I never met him as he couldn't wait for me to open the door quick enough.. ( I was taking a nap after a 12 hr international flight).

The living room walls have extensive water damage (I have pics of that too). The whole place just reeks. We couldn't wait to leave. The only good thing is location which is why I picked it in the first place. Be very aware.

Fantastic Flat For Travel and Home Away From Home!

  • 5 of 5

My three friends and I traveled to London for the Christmas holidays and this flat was wonderfully spacious and such a treat to come back to at the end of a long day sightseeing! It was well furnished with great fully functional kitchen, a lift on the more slippery rainy days or when dealing with luggage, very warm and cozy heater for the winter, and the staff were great at fixing any issues (the tele wasn't working due to the windstorms and the staff fixed that for us right away!). The convenience of a market, banks, and tube station of Earls Court right by the flat added to the value of staying in such a nice location! I will definitely try to come back here on my next trip and recommend it to all my family and friends!
