The Hôtel Jehan-Beaucé is a Renaissance town house build in 1554, and a designated historical monument fully renovated in 2013. Inside the building, you’ll find a vast apartment with high ceilings (3.6 m / 11.8 ft), antique wood trim, original paintings and a marble fireplace. The apartment was renovated in 2014 with equipped kitchen, new bathroom and bedroom. There is a double bed in the bedroom and wall bed in the living room. As well, there is a tiny office that can be used as an extra bedroom with a single bed (90x180 cm).
The Hôtel Jehan Beaucé is located in the heart of the city, near the town hall and the main square (place du Maréchal Leclerc), which has been superbly renovated two years ago, with a recently re-zoned pedestrian area. From there, you can walk towards the multiple historical treasuries that define the “City of hundred churches”. Historic churches, in particular Romanesque church buildings, are the main attraction inside Poitiers itself. Fifteen minutes away from the town centre, you’ll enjoy the “Futuroscope”, a theme park for science and entertainment.
You'll reach Poitiers with the TGV Atlantique line (1h40 from Paris' Gare Montparnasse). It takes 15 minutes to walk from the railway station to the apartment, or less than 10 minutes via the bus 2B from Gare Grand Cerf to Victor Hugo (then, you'll just have to cross the main square to reach the Lebascles street). By car, take the A10 autoroute to the Poitiers Centre exit.
There is a parking spot inside the property, which is very useful in a mainly pedestrian area.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the apartment.
