Home away from home
We had a fantastic stay. All the rooms were spotless and the living room was brilliant for fitting us all in to share some quality family time together. It was a nice walk into town via the royal mile or the main road and we found the Sainsbury’s easy enough. The beds were very comfy, and we are considering a return trip. The only thing missing was some milk in the fridge for a much needed cup of tea when we arrived, a welcome pack would have been a nice touch. A lovely place for a big group to spend time together. Thank you for helping us to create a memorable New Year break!
5 stars is not enough!
From the moment we asked about booking to our departure it was first class! We spent Christmas here with 19 of us and to be honest another 6 of us could have easily stayed here. There is so much room and we never felt cramped, except maybe when everyone wanted to help in the kitchen! Katinka was so very helpful in every way. She provided us with a shower chair for my mother in law and even put up a Christmas tree for us. There are plenty of dishes for everyone. The hot water never ran out, and even though there are only 3 bathrooms we never felt like we had to wait in line. There is a grocery store just up the hill and plenty of shopping within walking distance. The views are amazing and we just can't stop talking about how fabulous this was. My daughter left her mobile and Katinka was kind enough to find it and mail it to us. You will not be disappointed with this historic farmhouse! Thank you so much! Krista
Superb well-equipped home in a great location
A wonderful spacious house suitable for large parties. We were a party of 12 family and friends staying for a couple of days before our daughter's wedding, and this house suited our needs perfectly. We ate in for the first two evenings, preparing a buffet in the well equipped kitchen the first evening and then getting an Indian takeway delivered on the second evening, both times for 14-15 people. All the rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, and the lovely garden must provide a great place to relax at a warmer time of year. Would thoroughly recommend.
Great location, home from home considering there were 17 of us.
Great location near Holyrood Palace. The house was very well stocked by previous participants and spotlessly clean.
Katinka answered all our questions in advance and provided cab numbers for ease. Reazz was also super helpful and met us to let us in early. He also replied to endless stream of texts regarding the house and checking out procedure.
If you are big group I cannot recommend this house enough. We’ll be back.
An absolutely perfect, historic home overflowing with character!
My Wife took a year to plan a ‘guys trip’ to celebrate my fathers 79th birthday. This historic Holyrood Home served as a home base for our group (my father, his three sons, three grandsons, and a son-in-law).
This home was perfect in every aspect: overflowing with character both inside and out, perfectly located within the city, and wonderful owners who are a delight to interact with.
If you are looking for a quiet get away then this is the home for your group. Numerous places to sit, reflect, read, or just daydream. The home has beautiful grounds and a wonderful greenhouse.
Can’t go wrong with this Historic Holyrood House.
A beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood! Wonderful for a large group. The home is well appointed and very comfortable. I highly recommend it.
