Really lovely cottage on Seneca

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful cottage for the 2 of us! Had everything we needed, was super close to multiple wineries, very comfortable beds with lots of fyi's from the owner. Easy fun and beautiful! Would definitely come back.

Quaint, Cozy Cottage With Killer Views

  • 5 of 5

Three adults and two cats shared this sweet, vintage cottage on Seneca Lake for a "Christmas in the Fingerlakes" weekend. We fell in love with the place instantly. It is spotlessly clean, well-organized, unpretentious and just plain COMFORTABLE. The views are incredible. I sat at the end of the dock for an hour (yeah, it was cold) watching the sun play across the water and the geese flying overhead. There is nothing I would change about this magical little place. Next year we'll stay longer and spend more time at the cottage, baking cookies and doing puzzles. Do not hesitate to rent this place in the winter -- it is snug and warm with a great propane fireplace insert and little holiday lights on the mantle. I'm especially grateful to the owners for allowing our two beloved cats to travel with us. We tried to leave it spotless as a good example of responsible pet owners who wish to come again next year. I can still close my eyes and hear the waves breaking on the shore.

Thank you Tim and Bonnie for a truly perfect getaway,

Mareike Larsen

Quaint lakeside cottage- amazing views, well kept, great location

  • 5 of 5

Tim was wonderful to deal with... the cottage was just as shown in the listing- all linens and towels are provided. The views are unbeatable and the location was perfect!! Definitely WELL worth the money, yet such a great deal! Hidden gem for sure!

The cottage is located just a few yards from the railroad tracks, which worried us a bit at first but we were there all weekend and not even one train came by!!

My only suggestion to the owner would be to either cover the fire wood with a tarp or have an indoor location to store some of it- all the wood was a bit damp so it was really difficult to get our fire started in the fire pit. Other than that, we LOVED this house!! So close to the wine trail and we had a wonderful Bachelorette girls' weekend. Thanks!!

Wonderful and cozy stay

  • 5 of 5

Clean with beautiful views. Everything clearly labeled. Enjoyed the kayaks, the fire ring on the shore, the thrill of the train going by and the location on the beer and wine trail. Water was HOT! Bed was comfortable and the heat worked quickly and efficiently. Tim responded quickly to all inquiries. Loved the nautical décor. Cottage is exactly as advertised. This is just what a lake cottage should look like. Highly recommend!
