About Jennifer Brush

My husband and I are both teachers in Connecticut. We have 3 girls ages 12, 11 & 8 who love to go to the country to play in the river, swing on the tire swing, make art, play games & watch movies.

Jennifer Brush purchased this house in 2008

Why Jennifer Brush chose Middlefield

My husband's family has owned a house in this area for over 50 years. There is something remarkable about the area every season of the year.

What makes this house unique

We love to swim in the river, go for hikes in the woods, ride our bikes, play in the yard, set up our tent & sit by the fire and star-gaze at night. We love to share our house with our family & friends.

What a nice, quiet little place in the hills.

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed getting out of the city and spending some time on the river. The house may look small, but the layout is perfect and is certainly equipped for outdoor entertaining. Our five year old loved exploring the river and using the tire swing - he didn't want to leave! The owners at the blueberry farm were very nice and Glendale Falls was a lot of fun. It was so wonderful to unplug and slow down.

Definitely coming back!

  • 5 of 5

Very enjoyable n relaxing as we soaked in the sunshine, breeze, and waters in relative seclusion in the berkshires. Fire pit, Tree garden, books, movies, river toy floats, and generous private patio a plus!

Starry. starry night

  • 5 of 5

This cozy home in the woods is a delightful getaway for nature lovers. A meandering river, birds, and thousands of stars in the night sky await you. There's a working fireplace inside and plenty of movies. Suitable for families and romantic couples alike. The nearby town, while not large, was charming and had some interesting dining options.

The details: Listing was accurate, property well-maintained, good customer service, I'd recommend to others.

Perfect for families with young kids!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this place with our two toddlers (2.5 yr old and 1 yr old). The house has everything you need for little kids: toys, books, kids movies, high chair, pack and play etc. My kids loved to play in the water, and there're plenty of floats for everyone! We also loved sitting by the river, very relaxing! Also the DVD library is fantastic! Loved this place, thank you for having us!

Excellent "Bachelorette" stay!

  • 4 of 5

We booked this house for a girls weekend to celebrate our friends upcoming wedding. The house was adorable and had everything we needed. It was so nice and refreshing to be away from everything! The river in the backyard was such a treat. If it hadn't rained we might have spent the whole weekend in it! Highly recommended for a getaway in nature.

Beautiful home on the river

  • 5 of 5

we had a fantastic stay at this home! The house was spacious comfortable and clean. The outside space was amazing, the photos do not do it justice. Great response time and access to the owner of the home. Would have liked wireless internet to help us navigate the area but the access to the homes land line helped us coordinate with other family staying in the area. Overall a great stay!

Car: necessary

This house is a great home base- Art museums, Shaker Museum and Norman Rockwell museum, Mt. Greylock, restaurants & theatre in Pittsfield, waterslides & Magic Wings Butterfly museum for the kids - all about 30-45 minutes from the house. Or you can never leave the house, relax & enjoy the sights & sounds of nature- very private!!
