About Pamela Hammond
Pam Hammond I have adult children and am called 'Pamaw' to 2 grandchildren. I have 2 large dogs, 1 3-legged Beagle and 2 cats.
Pamela Hammond purchased this House in 2002
Why Pamela Hammond chose Nags Head
My brother Tom built this home. He lived and surfed on this beach for over 30 years. We have a very sentimental attachment to this home and will always call it 'Tom's house'.
What makes this House unique
There is a futon (that flips out to an additional full size bed), a 32” Smart TV in 2 locations. It is cozy with large decks for enjoying cooking on the Weber charcoal grill. It is a short 10 - 15 minute walk to the beach and about a .5 mile hike through the park to the sound. We really enjoy going to Carola to see the wild horses.

Had a wonderful time, great space. Got to spend time with my mother and my niece for a girls weekend. Totally recommend!
We had an amazing time! Less than 10 minute walk from the beach. The interior was clean and updated and also very homey and cosy! We appreciated the thoughtful touches, plentiful room to sleep, and hammocks! Would love to stay again.
Great place for our short stay
We really enjoyed our short trip to Nags Head and this was a perfect location (only a few blocks from the beach). There was a slight mix up in dates with the cleaning crew, but the owner responded very quickly and everything was taken care of within an hour. We would definitely stay here again.
Great place for young children!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Beach is wonderful. Close to everything. House is great and layout is nice especially with young kids. Pam was a great help with questions/ recommendations etc.
Basic beach house, convenient in Nags Head
Great beach house, very convenient. We enjoyed our short visit.
Weekend stay for five
What a great find! The property is within walking distance to public beach access, coffee shops, ice cream, etc. We had a blast at the beach and Jockey’s Ridge.
The house easily accommodated our group of five. We ended up doing a fair amount of cooking. The kitchen has plenty of cooking utensils/pots/pans. The grill is a charcoal grill. If you plan on using it, you can pick some up at the Food Lion on your way in.
We had a great stay and would recommend it.
