Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6 adults, 2 children comfortably)

**New Carpeting installed in all 3 bedrooms Summer 2017, 2 bedrooms also freshly painted**

Contemporary Chalet with wrap around porch offers something for every season. Lake Sunapee beach is accessible at the end of the property, and Mt. Sunapee is 2/10 of a mile up the road. Additonally, the State beach is 1/10 of a mile away, and allows for easy boat launching and swimming. A family pass for the State Beach comes with the property.

The house features cathedral ceilings over a large open concept living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with new stainless and new granite countertops. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout the main living area, and the bedrooms are carpeted.

The oversized master bedroom is on the top floor overlooking the living area. There is a twin trundle in the large room which is great for young families. Additionally, it has it's own private bath. Two other bedrooms and a bath round out the main floor.

There is a second living area on the ground floor. The finished heated basement has a pool and fooz-ball table, 52 inch flat screen and wii console. There is also a ski drop area, with tiled floor.

A pair of sliding glass doors open up to a wrap around porch with meadow and peek-a-boo views of Lake Sunapee. Take both of the two kayaks out, and explore the lake.

The home is nestled on close to 3 private acres. This property is a short walk away to a shared beach, and a short bike ride or walk to the State Beach. Newbury Harbor is just up the road dotted with restaurants and shopping. Additionally, the town of New London is a short drive, and has many fine restaurants and cultural activities.

For the cold weather enthusiast, Mount Sunapee is just 2/10 of a mile up the road, offering competitive trails for both skier and snowboarder. When the ground isn't snow covered, the resort is transformed into an adventure park.

We stayed for 5 was while relocating to the NH area. The home was well stocked and very comfortable.

Easy walk to state beach, use of kayaks great and quick drive to MTN with many summer activities.

Aimee was always available to answer questions and very easy to work with.I also found her very supportive during a stressful time.

Perfect ski getaway

  • 5 of 5

We rented this property for two months (Jan/Feb). It is well laid out, comfortable and, as others have said, well-stocked. We loved its proximity to Sunapee Mountain - a 3 minute drive. The foozball and pool table are a plus, as are the Guitar Hero and various board games. The owners were very nice and responsive. The house is a 5 min walk to a great sledding hill and 10 min walk to the lake, which is fun in the winter too! We would rent again.

Great House, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there for a month as our new home was under construction. Aimee's home was lovely and within walking distance of the beach. The kitchen was great and the living area was light and roomy. There is also a pool table and foozball table downstairs, which was great too. The wrap around deck was really nice to spend a Sunday afternoon, and lotsa sun. A wonderful home.

Lake Sunapee

  • 5 of 5

The house was spacious and very comfortable; at one time, there were 6 adults and a baby. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is ideal. It is secluded, yet near local attractions and close enough for day trips a little further away. While we were there, we went to Dartmouth and visited their art museum, hiked, went to the beach and visited an estate and gardens.

We did not use the community beach. Instead we opted to use the state beach, which did charge a fee.

Very spacious and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We booked this place as we wanted to have friends stay with us, and the house was huge! It has lovely cathedral ceilings, a very well-stocked kitchen, comfortable lounging area upstairs and a fantastic game room downstairs. The bedrooms are all really big, the bathrooms were very clean the home had lovely views of the lake with lots of nice sunlight coming in. We very much enjoyed ourselves, thanks Aimee for your willingness to go the extra mile.

The house was very nice & conveniently located to the public beach at Lake Sunapee. This beach is magnificent. The surrounding areas offer many attractive activities. Wonderful restaurnts can be found in New London. We had 2 separate sets of children & grandchildren (a few days for each family) & they all enjoyed themselves tremendously.

While very well stocked for the most part, here are some minor additions that would be nice - pot holders, & dishtowels, We would also suggest that some minor exterior painting be done before the cold weather sets in.

If our schedule allows we would certainly consider renting your home next summer.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Sunapee. We wanted to address your minor concerns. As for the dish towels and pot holders, there are plenty in the drawer by the stove, they may have been been moved by a prior tenant,, or overlooked. The chipping paint. It is on the trim (house itself is vinyl siding), and a direct result of power washing the house and deck. We thought it better to have the deck clean and thought we mentioned this to you, but it may have been to your son. We are planning to have some trim replaced and repainted, but chose to wait until the house was vacant so as not to disrupt your stay. Hope this clears up any concerns you may have had.
