Come enjoy a family-oriented gated resort community on the South Carolina coast. Our unit is a great vacation spot for couples or families. It is in the only building with an elevator. It features one bedroom (one and one-half baths) with a screened porch off the living room. We have recently installed bamboo flooring in the living room, bedroom and hall.
You can relax with your morning coffee on the porch as you enjoy a beautiful ocean view. The master bedroom features a queen sized bed and the sofa in the living room converts to a queen-sized bed. All bed linens and towels are provided.
The unit also features a fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, dishwasher, ice maker and coffee maker. We suggest stopping at Publix on your way out of Beaufort. It is on the right after you cross Lady’s Island Bridge over the intercoastal waterway after you go through downtown Beaufort on Route 21. Or, stop at Gay’s Seafood (on your right) before you cross the Harbor River bridge across from the famous (featured in Southern Living) Shrimp Shack.
The unit also features wireless internet access. A laundry room is available at the end of the walkway on the second floor.
Harbor Island is an ocean paradise for anyone who enjoys natural beauty!
Even in peak season, the island and the beach are not crowded. The natural beauty of the island is personified in the graceful sand dunes covered with sea oats and coastal grasses, its tidal creeks and salt-water marshes, and its abundant wildlife. Whether you like exploring, or relaxing is more your style, Harbor Island offers three miles of pure, untamed sandy beach.
The Beach and Racquet Club offers a large pool, as well as a kiddie pool. There is also volleyball and a playground available. Tennis courts and basketball and shuffle board are also there for more family fun.
***ABOUT THE AREA***
The Lowcountry is a region steeped in history, natural beauty and distinct architectural style. The true historic “Old South,” with its entire cultural heritage, is just a short drive from Harbor Island. Centuries old cities like Beaufort, Charleston and Savannah will delight you with their grand plantations, museums, galleries and southern hospitality. Beaufort is a short 15 minute drive and Savannah and Charleston are both about an hour away.
If you are interested in fishing, the 1120-foot former Paradise Pier is now part of Hunting Island State Park, the next island over. Hunting Island also is home to the only lighthouse in S.C. open to the public. We provide a Hunting Island Passport Pass for one vehicle entrance to the park.
***PLEASE EMAIL OR CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION***
One parking pass is included in the rental fee. Any other passes for other vehicles will be charged a fee. Cleaning fee is included in rental price. Pets welcomed with nonrefundable pet fee.

Kathy Harrell purchased this condo in 1995
We purchased this condo from a family friend in 1995. We had visited Harbor a couple of times and really liked it. Once we became property owners and spent more time here, we fell in love with the area!
This unit has a great view from the screened in porch. Morning coffee is even better with this view!
The property was perfect for me. It had all the amenities I needed. I used the rental as short term housing while I relocated to the area. It was a great stop gap and the property owner was extremely attentive to any problem. I would consider staying here for an extended vacation in the future.
After making a short notice call to Kathy Harrell, she was very nice and worked quickly to make arrangements for me to stay at her Harbor Island Unit. I was so pleased with the unit and really enjoyed my stay there.. I would definitely stay there again and plan on doing so in 2018... Thanks again Kathy...
Sincerely,
Frank Mistretta III
I really enjoyed my stay in this condo. It had everything I needed and was super clean and very well maintained. I will definitely rent again the first chance I get.
This condo was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. There are two beautiful pools which were great for relaxing. The state park pass allowed us easy access to the beach. We had a great time!
Beautiful area. Great weather and great acvommodations.
My husband and I stayed four days at this Harbor Island condo, and we wished it could be more! As other reviews state, Kathy (owner) is excellent at communicating and resolving situations that might arise. The condo was clean and ready upon arrival. It's very large for a one-bedroom, and the second half-bath was handy. This is a beach property, and it feels like it: it has beachy decor, some weathering on the building (plus storm damage being repaired on other buildings nearby, not a problem with this one), a bit of rust on appliances and dated cabinets and furniture, but very much what we expected. The "ocean view" is not waves but a bay, some distance as is accurately shown in the photos. The area is resort-like with an emphasis on family. The screened balcony is wonderful! But the thing we enjoyed the most was the Hunting Island beach pass, provided with the condo! Hunting Beach had two beach options, and we enjoyed both despite wild winds and strong seas. Just what I longed for!
We took Kathy's advice and stocked up at Publix on the way out to Harbor Island. There's a new Walmart a few blocks closer for all beach needs & food as well. We visited downtown Beaufort, historical and cute. Great dinner at very "dive-y" Boondocks, recommend both the scallops and shrimp. All in all, a close-to-perfect stay. We'll be back!
