Cute, clean updated cabin
They did a great job renovating the cabin as you can see by the listing photos. It was quiet and tranquil and lovely.
Only things really needing major improvement is the TV situation. Without a speaker bar and nothing beyond very basic cable the tv sounded horrible and wasn’t worth even putting on. And in the era of Covid it comes in handy as we had many nights we ordered in and had to watch on our iPad.
Also they left no body wash only tiny bottles of hotel shampoo and conditioner and not enough laundry or dish detergent. So little things but annoying enough to mention so hopefully they fix for future guests.
Loved the house, very nicely appointed. A little further away from town than we expected.
This was the perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway. We walked from the house to Glen falls right down the road and also hiked dry falls which was a short drive away. The proximity to town was also an awesome bonus.
Cozy and comfortable
My husband and I stayed 5 nights at this property and had a wonderful time. It was a lovely, up-to-date home and well appointed with nice furnishings, beds and conveniences. It was in a quiet, secluded area but very close to Highlands, which was an ideal location for us. We made full use of the fireplace on the cold, rainy days and would stay at this property again. I have only one minor complaint -- the check-in, check-out, and trash handling instructions were confusing because they were different between the emails, rental agreement, and the laminated instructions at the house.
Great house, great stay
Camp Carlee is a great property...exceeded expectations. Very comfortable and cozy, very well appointed and stocked. We will go back.
Spactacular scenery, photography and area waterfalls offer plenty of entertainment.
About Lori Bee
We often find our minds wandering to the mountains of western North Carolina. Although we are not able to spend as much time as we would like in Highlands, that leaves more time available for guests to stay at our cabin. Any time of year is a great time to enjoy the wide range of scenic wonders and events this area has to offer. David and Georgia Carlee
