About Elissa Pressley
My husband and I are native Atlantans and currently reside in Dunwoody. I have been coming to the St. Simons area my entire life. My husband fell in love with the area during a visit to St. Simons over New Years Weekend 2000. On an impulse, we purchased our first property on St. Simons during that fateful trip and it was the best decision that we have made. We love visiting the area with our 2 girls and can't wait for the day that we can spend even more time on the coast.
Elissa Pressley purchased this House in 2008
Why Elissa Pressley chose Saint Simons Island
Ever since we purchased our first rental property, we have been on the lookout for an actual house as opposed to a townhome. We knew this home was for us when we drove down the shaded street under the arched live oaks - I am so happy to actually have some of these wonderous giants in our yard! We loved the charm of this house with the wood paneling and stone fireplace - the old St. Simons feel.
What makes this House unique
This is a very quiet street with plenty of privacy. We are close to the beach and the village but away from the crowds.

Great family get together!
The home was clean, well taken care of, and a short car drive to the beach. We recommend Park 20 to access the beach and have access to bathrooms. A great buy for the price.
LOVED IT ALL
I can't believe how clean it is. It is obviously an older home but so well maintained. Great for our family of 6. The neighborhood was lovely...I took a long walk every morning and it was a short walk to the beach.
Such a cute and quaint cottage. We all enjoyed our stay. Very well equipped with necessities.
Very pleasant experience. With such a range of ages (23 to 91) everyone enjoyed our time there. Would definitely come again. This place met all of our needs.
Love this cottage!
This was our third time staying at Elissa's charming Sea Breeze Ave. cottage on SSI. We love it, both for its charm, and also its location, mid-way between the village and the beach. She's a very responsive host, everything you'll need is supplied (kitchen stuff, towels, bedding, etc.), and we had a most relaxing and enjoyable stay at this cottage. Hope to be back!
Cute cottage in quiet residential area.
The cottage needs a lot of TLC, needs painting inside and a very thorough cleaning, windows were filthy and bathrooms are very dated, no vents to run when you are taking a shower and everything steams up, broken tile in shower downstairs and overall not clean. The cottage has a lot of possibilities but needs a lot of attention. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is stocked very well with utensils, very old stove and refrigerator and the dish washer does not do a very good job. I normally do not leave bad reviews but felt this one was needed. I think the owner needs to spend a few days there and they would understand this review.
I must say that I am surprised by this review since this renter requested to rent the home for 2 months next year, a request that I could not accommodate due to the home being booked already. I also spoke with this renter on several occasions and never heard a complaint regarding the home. The only issue was a malfunction with the washing machine, which was promptly repaired. The home is older, has some older appliances, and there are some cracked tiles. This is true. However, as you can see from our many other reviews, it is a beloved older cottage, is very clean, and we have many repeat renters. I am saddened by the fact that she felt like this but never requested a cleaning during her stay, a request that we would have been happy to fulfill and pay for. We want all of our renters to give us the opportunity to make their stay as pleasant as possible.
Nice house in a great location
Easy access to the beach and spacious. We liked the backyard for our dog and had a nice sunroom at the fr.ont
