Spectacular Three-Bedroom Penthouse at the Bay View Grand

Bedrooms 3
Property type condo

About the property

Condo, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Casa de Bellagio! This incredible property, fashioned after the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, is ideally situated right on the ocean's edge with sweeping views of Banderas Bay, the city lights, the beautiful mountains, and the setting sun. From the terrace you will see the whales and dolphins frolicking in the bay in front of you (in season) and all the activity which makes this place paradise.

This true top-floor penthouse is beautifully furnished in a gated, full ownership community. Even at the busiest times it is not the typical mad house that some of the other nearby resorts are. (If you want a mad house then its only a short walk down the beach ;-)

This spectacular penthouse is large with over 2500 square feet of living area. Its living, family, and master bedrooms have magnificent, 12 & 16 foot, cathedral ceilings. Topped off with a stunning cupola.

The Vallarta Marina is a pleasant walk away. There you will find some of the most incredible restaurants and activities. Staying in this unit is like having an extra day of vacation as the airport is only minutes away. On the day of departure check into the airport in the morning and then come back for a relaxing time at the pool until minutes before your takeoff.

Just returned from 11 days in PVR and the Bay View Grand. As previous reviewers have called out this is a great property, great condo and a great owner to work with. We have stayed at BVG for the past 7 years and Steve Roberts was by far the most responsive and communicative of all the of owners we have previously communicated with. Every email was responded to within a day sometimes within the hour. You wont lose any sleep or have any regrets renting from Steve. Thank you

What a great condo! We just back from a perfect week in PV. If you are considering a PV condo I would recommend this one without hesitation and encourage you to read the other letters below as they do a great job of describing how this condo is set up to enable you to have a wonderful experience. While we were there it was 90+ degrees every day but with the condo on the top floor there was a nice gentle breeze both during the day and at night.

What nobody mentions below is the birds. Large albatross and soaring other birds come floating in every afternoon to rise on the thermals created by the condos and the ocean. I know of no other place where you are going to come within 100 feet of a soaring bird on such a regular basis.

The development was not at all crowded and we often had the pool to ourselves and had plenty of opprotunities to get a daily tennis game in. Simply put, for all the reasons listed below I doubt you will find a nicer well furnished place in PV with a view and amenities similar to this.

Family fun in PV

We had a fantastic one-week stay in Puerto Vallarta thanks in large part to the great facilities in our Bay View Grand penthouse, where we enjoyed wonderful dinners on the expansive terrace while taking in the inspiring view.

Our group was composed of two families and included three kids ranging in age from 11-14. The condo was plenty comfortable for all of us, and the amazing array of infinity pools was a big hit with young and mature alike. I think we took a dip every single day of our stay.

The condo complex is large but did not feel crowded, partly because it is spread out over seven buildings but also because the connecting pools cover so much space. There are also two tennis courts and a well-appointed gym for those who want to do more than just lay by the pool. You could also play on the beach just beyond the pool, and we went body-surfing one day, but the water is not nearly as clear as in the Caribbean, so we opted for the pool instead. All the facilities are immaculately clean and supervised by security.

One of our favorite activities was taking the 10-15-minute walk to the marina, which offered a variety of restaurants and shops, as well as a lively outdoor market on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We must have gone four or five times altogether. We also ventured out to less-touristy areas, including a nearby town called El Pitillal where we found some terrific seafood markets, countless shops and a plaza where they sell homemade tamales early in the morning (till 9) and in the afternoon starting around 6. You won't find them anytime in between. It takes a $5 cab ride to get to the town.

Of course, we also explored Puerto Vallarta and all its wonders, including a casual restaurant called Mariscos El Guero where they make some of the best fish ceviche and smoked marlin you'll ever taste. In our PV meanderings we discovered an excellent tequila called Arrete that's not imported to the U.S. It was smooth as silk and cost just $11 for a bottle of the anejo.

It was terrific find, and one of the many pleasures of our vacation. A special shout-out to Fernando, the property manager, for his prompt service on our requests -- particularly the deliveries of bottled water -- and to owner Steve Roberts for his easy accessibility and willingness to honestly answer all our questions. They helped make our trip a memorable experience.

Perfect girls weekend!

This was the PERFECT place for a relaxing trip with a group a girlfriends! The view from the penthouse was beautiful, never in direct sunlight so the rooms stayed cool and comfortable. The pool was very clean and well maintained, staff was friendly, great service and delicious drinks! We loved the short walk to the marina and the quick cab ride to and from the airport. Great location! Definitely hope to get back soon. Thank you!

Best trip ever to PV

  • 5 of 5

The penthouse really is spectacular, and though it was over 90 degrees during the day, with all the windows open there was a wonderful breeze, it didn't feel that hot. We didn't use the air conditioners at all. The view is exactly as the pictures show, but you really must see it in person. It's only a 20 to 25 minute walk to or from the Marina, and we needed the exercise after eating out in the evening. (There is a full kitchen but we tend to not cook on vacation!) I also loved having a washer/dryer. Both buses and taxis are readily available. There is a great looking workout room (we looked but never got in there!). Because it is residential and not a resort, the pool was extremely quiet (no bingo, no pool volleyball, no tequila games) so if you want to party hard, this place isn't for you, but we loved it. Right next to the airport, but most of the planes leave in the afternoon so noise is not a problem. The owners shared a lot of information before we arrived that we found extremely helpful. This was one of the best trips we have had to PV. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place.

WOW! Best view in Puerto Vallarta anyone could ask for. The Penthouse was incredible...actually fabulous. The ocean breeze blows through all day with the doors open and what is better then falling asleep to the sound of the ocean?! The condo was very large and spacious with a fabulous deck/patio to eat your breakfast/lunch from or just to relax recline back and watch the ocean and the activities in the bay. We love Puerto Vallarta and we now have a place we will come back to stay at..that exceeds all possible expectations. BVG is a very secure property with guards on duty all places and all times. The tennis courts are wonderful if you enjoy playing..just make sure you wear white bottom tennis shoes to play on the courts. The pool area is incredible and the ocean speaks for itself. This place is FABULOUS!
