Located in downtown Paris, Le Marais was originally reclaimed to provide building space for the Right Bank. Nearby, the famous Place des Vosges was built by Henri IV at the beginning of the 17th century. The area is now the city's center of fashionable living. Architects and sculptors designed elegant mansions and hôtel particulars with large courtyards and rear gardens during the 17th century. Now the Marais has been declared a historic neighborhood, and you can now find trendy boutiques, cafés, and museums in the district. The area's narrow streets, nevertheless, retain the stamp of a medieval village.
Cleaning Fee: 45€ weekly
Garage available on demand and for a weekly fee. Needs to be ordered in advance
Everything worked out perfectly. Very happy with the service. As we wrote in the guest book the apartment was perfect for us. It was very charming and comfortable and in a perfect location. The neighborhood was wonderful. We always enjoy Paris and we hope to return in the future. When we do we will definitely contact you because we know we will have "no worries" when you are in charge!
Thanks again for everything.
We're a family of 4 who just completed a wonderful 5-night stay. The apartment was ideally located for everything we wanted to do or see. The St. Paul Metro stop is just a 4-minute walk away, there is a small grocery store right around the corner, and our favorite bakery was down the street (Miss Manon -- don't miss it!). The apartment is quiet, comfortable and easily reached up one flight of stairs. We would not hesitate to book this wonderful gem again.
Our family of 3 stayed for a week and had an excellent time. The unit is roomy and well-appointed. The local area has great restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and strolling and sites such as Notre Dame, Picasso Museum, Pampidou, Bastille, but there is no need just to stay in the local area. The location of the unit is superb for exploring all of Paris with two easily-reached metro stops.
We're a family of 6 who came to Paris for an out of season getaway. This apartment is perfect for a Parisian experience. It is clean and very well appointed.
There is a wide array of food shopping available just a block away. Also, there are 3 metro stops within easy walking distance, so all of Paris is in reach.
Pascal, just wanted to thank you for a wonderful stay in the flat. We have a terrific visit. The flat had everything we needed and was a great location to accessing all the sites.
We could not have been happier with this apartment. The location is perfect and on a relatively quiet street (there were some people partying one Saturday night who were pretty loud but that was it), very close to the Saint-Paul Metro stop, a Monoprix, restaurants, shops etc. We had so much fun going to the wine store, cheese store, the grocery store and fresh fruit stand and having a kitchen to enjoy it all. We stayed for five nights and loved it all. We easily toured around Paris from here via the Metro and walking. Notre Dame was a simple walk across the river.
The apartment itself is very nice with everything you would need. The washer and dryer were invaluable for me traveling with three young kids. The kids loved the room with the two twin beds (two shared a bed) and we all loved the big windows that let in the fresh air and sun. The one and only negative thing I will say is they need a new shower curtain! And that's me being extremely picky. The owner was always quick to respond and one of his coworkers was waiting for us when we arrived.
Be sure to try the pizza place at the corner and if you are there over a weekend, check out the flea market across the street. I cannot wait to go back some day!
