PIRATE'S COVE is a wonderful Property you are literally on the Water and from the Living Room it gives you the sense you are floating as you see no land.
You have a Community Pool on the next Peninsula, and there is a small private Beach on the Property which is shared with the adjoinging Property. Great Tikki Hut, Stereo, and BBQ Entertainment area outside.
On the Dock you have an outside shower, the grounds have Wi-Fi Internet Service, and Garden Lighting. It is rather spectacular at night, with excellent fishing from the Dock.
The Dock is on the Property, we can accommodate a Boat up to Thirty (30) Ft., we provide Electricity and Water Dockside, and provide Parking for your Trailer at the Public Swales, space being available.
For Launching of your Boat you would need to coordinate with us in advance. There is a Community Boat Ramp which is Free.
Fish from the Dock, or enjoy your own Small Private Beach on the Property.
Parking for your Vehicle is at the Property.
The experience with us is a bit more Personal and Service Oriented, we will meet you on the Property upon arrival and get you settled-in and show you how everything works, the HVAC, the Stereos, Wi-Fi Network, Satellite T.V., Garden Lighting, the BBQ (we do not provide the Propane), Stove, the Range, and in-turn answer any questions you may have.
While you are with us, should you need anything we are 45Min. away, or next door.
The Property is extremely peaceful, and quiet, along the Waterway you may even see some Manatees or Dolphins swimming by, lay in the Hammock for Two, and hear the Coconut Palm frontons move in the breeze.
During the Day Ann and Her Husband, George, work their Crab Traps, they ride around on a 16Ft. Skiff, you cannot miss them, their boat has large Registration Numbers on the side. If you like Crabs, call them over, they will sell to you either Blue Crabs or Stone Crabs. And do not worry if you do not know how to clean them, Ann will even show you how.
Otherwise, you can ask Ann for one of her Freshly Cooked Crab Platters, she will deliver it by Boat and serve it Dockside.
Great Place also for Kayaks, to explore the shallow water inlets around or explore in the Sound. If you are interested in renting the Caribbean Club close-by offers Kayaks and Canoes for Rent and will bring them to the Property.
While in Downtown Key Largo, Boat Charters, and Fishing Trips are available. Kayaks or a Boat can be kept on the Property as we have 30Ft. of Dock space.
Markets are less than 10 Min. away, we provide Discount Cards for WINN-DIXIE.
For Beaches, John Pennekamp (www.pennekamppark.com/) a National Park, is 10 Min. away at MM 102, OCEAN SIDE (Left Side). Traveling South look for the Overhead Sign. Great Beaches, with snorkeling opportunities. there is also Group Fishing which is not expensive, or Snorkeling Trips to the Reefs a little off-shore.
There is also Harris Park at MM92.5. Here you have a Man-Made Lagoon with Beaches, and Playground, and Picnic areas. No admission is charged during the week.
Restaurants are within 7Min. Gilbert's and Buzzard's. And for Outdoor Entertainment at Gilbert's they have a Great Tikki Bar on the Water, with Music, daily.......
We do also have a cooperative Agreement with Gilbert's Resort. If you buy Food & Beverage you can use, their Pool and the Beach. Please do note, they do not allow coolers, or bottled water being brought into the premises.
While Sundowner's is about 12Min. away, Great Outdoor Gourmet Dining with Excellent views of the Sunset. And Senor Frijoles is next door, with Outdoor Dining also, Tex-Mex Food and Excellent Margaritas...
And in Downtown Key Largo, Mrs. Mac's Kitchen is a favorite Breakfast spot.
For Laundry facilities we offer, Island Coin Laundry, 99607 Overseas Highway, MM99, at the Office Depot Shopping Center. Their Telephone Number 305-451-4575.
They offer drop-off service at $2.25/Lb.
For doing your own Laundry:
Washing Machines $2.25/Load - Small Machine
$3.50/Load - Larger Machine
Dryers +/- $1.50/Load - depending on contents
Regarding Fishing Licenses, they can be bought here at any Bait & Tackle Shop. If you are going to be Fishing from the Property, they are not necessary.
There are many Brochures in the home which will guide you to other destinations.

Key Largo, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Web-site; http://www.floridakeys.org This is the Chamber of Commerce site, of which we a Member of, and does offer a myriad of endless possibilities depending on your interests. Group Fishing, snorkeling, restaurants, and other destinations..
This is where we get the Brochures, we keep at the Property.
We recommend you book in advance as for the destinations in the Keys, there are often discount offers for "in-advance" reservations. And with items like swimming with the Dolphins or Sea-Lions at Theater of the Sea, they book quite in advance, due to the demand.

The trailer is new, very clean, and has everything you need. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the tiki gazebo. Beautiful view from the private beach. Perfect for a relaxing vacation.
So relaxing, scenic, and perfectly located.
My husband and I spent two weeks here and had an absolutely wonderful time. Fishing off the dock was fun, we saw manatees right from the window of the trailer, and we had beautiful sunrises to drink coffee to in the mornings. The new trailer is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a couple's getaway. The mangroves and other trees in and around the complex attracted a wonderful diversity of birds, which I was excited to see. Nestor was very helpful and friendly. The grocery store, gas station, restaurants, hiking trails, and the Everglades were all close by and easy to get to. We had a great time and would love to go back someday.

amazing views & location
We loved the property. The dock, the hammock, the tiki hut, the lounge chairs, fishing cutting table, outside showers made for an amazing stay. The interior is okay and functional. The sofa bed mattresses could use updating and some of the linens have seen better days but in general the property was great and we would go back and recommend it. It's really too bad that it was mosquitos season as it was hard to enjoy the outside at night. (They were really bad!) But that's not the owner's fault... All in all, great place to stay!
Great view but needs updating.
The location can't be beat. The view of the marina & the bay were amazing. We took lots of pictures. We weren't able to enjoy the outside as much because the mosquitoes were outrageous. I live in Florida and I have never seen them so bad. My real complaint was regarding the interior. It is very tired. All of the dishes and other items in the kitchen seem to be a collection of things leftover from prior guests. Stained plates & cups, storage containers & lids that don't match. Our intention was to prepare our meals instead of eating out. This was difficult. We didn't even have a knife that was sharp for cutting. Also the linens are stained and threadbare. I would still stay here again but next time I'll bring my own dishes & towels. And probably a bug zapper.

Do want to clarify, we do NOT have a view of a Marina.
Your tenure did take place during the Mosquito Season here in in the Florida Keys. It is quite different than the Tampa/St. Petersburg area which you are from.
Even though, we here in the Keys are used to Mosquitoes, we do highly recommend Deep Woods OFF to all of our Guests, should they be sensitive.
Not quite understand your comment as to the interior being "tired", cannot respond.
With regards to the dishes, surprised about your comments 90 days ago, we replaced dishes with a matching set of Four (4);
1.) Dinner Plates
2.) Small Plates
A palm in the center of each.
We did retain other dishes, for use as well.
And also replaced Glasses of assorted sizes.
And unfortunately contrary to your statement, we have never had a Guest provide anything, they only break items over time.
We only do replace them.
Would have certainly stopped by to show which lid went over, a container.
With regards to knifes, beyond what is in the drawers, we do have additional knifes in a butcher block holder on the Kitchen Counter.
It is possible you overlooked them.
With regards to Linens we use 300 Thread Count, which is rather a high quality. Linens are replaced as needed.
And in closing, with regards to the Towels, we do monitor wear, and do replace them as well.
We do hope your comments have made you feel comfortable and entitled, as you made no mention of any of these items during your tenure.
