PRIVATE STRUCTURE. Villa Corallina is located on the beautiful Costa degli Etruschi (Coast of the Etruscans) on the beach of Marina di Bibbona, which is reached directly from the house. It is a construction dating back to 1920, with perforated bricks and original Tuscan materials in a style reminiscent of the American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. In the post war period it was the beach house of the Marquises Ginori, an oasis of peace and privacy which, until the nineties, was used as a "Kinderheim" (one of the many summer camps for children). The restoration project carried out by the current owners and by the architect Ponte of Genova, has seen the total renovation of the original building and the conservation of the garden surrounding the villa which consists predominantly of Mediterranean maquis. The pool at Villa Corallina is located in a particular area next to the villa where there was already a natural hollow in the sand dunes, encircled by an amphitheatre of juniper and, in respect of the environment, no trees were cut down during its construction. From the beautiful portico, suitable for lunches and romantic dinners, guests can enjoy the red sunsets over the sea. Attached to the villa there is a small apartment which is completely indipendent and is where the caretakers reside, a very reserved persons who ensure the maintenance.
The villa has two floors. The main entrance leads directly into the living room divided into TV area, sitting area and reading area. From the right of the living room you come to the dining room with sea view, kitchen, toilet and laundry room. Further along the corridor is a twin bedroom with garden access, a double bedroom with garden access and a bathroom with shower and outside access. From the left of the entrance, you come to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, two twin bedrooms (with non-joinable beds) and a bathroom with tub. The living room has French windows leading out to the portico furnished with tables and chairs, which in turn, leads on to the beach. On the first floor is a double bedroom, a bedroom with queen-size bed, a twin bedroom, a bathroom with tub and another bathroom with shower. As an alternative to the bedroom with queen-size bed, guests can use a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub located in the attic area (min 60 and max 170 cm).
The entire property covers approximately 5 acres. The park is particularly charming and is maintained in excellent condition and composed entirely of Mediterranean maquis and a dense pine wood. Under the old oak trees in front of the house is a play area with ping-pong table. Both the side facing the sea and the pool side are furnished with umbrellas, tables and chairs. A few metres from the portico a wooden gate leads directly to the beach where guests can set up their sunbeds to enjoy the beautiful sun-filled days and where are available two showers with hot water.
The oval-shaped swimming pool next to the north side of the villa is surrounded by hedges of juniper. It measures 9 x 5 with a depth varying from 1 to 1.90 m and has the swimming upstream function. The surrounding area is provided with bar area, deckchairs, sunbeds, umbrellas, shower with hot water, tables and chairs. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday of October.
