About ANN CALHOUN

We live in Roanoke, Ala. We are retirement age but not retired, really don't see that in the near future. We have one son, a wonderful daughter-in-law and have been blessed with two wonderful grand children, a boy and a girl. Our whole life revolves around these two little blessings. My husband is a minister and has a nursing home ministry weekly.

Why ANN CALHOUN chose Sevierville

We have been coming to the 'Smokies' since our son was about two years old and he is now married and has two children. We had always wanted a place there and since my husband is a builder, we came for several months scouting for property to build on and finally found the perfect spot, not so secluded but still with privacy and close in to town. We have really enjoyed having a place to come when we want to relax for a few days. We hope that you will enjoy our place as much as we do.

What makes this cabin unique

Each bedroom has a jacuzzi tub as well as a full bath and a enclosed hot tub on the back. The bedroom furniture is handmade by my husband . The yard is landscaped and has a long concrete driveway all the way to the front porch with only a few steps to the porch. The cabin is decorated so that you feel like you are at home away from home. It is only a five minute drive to a mini -mall including a specialty shop where you can purchase fresh cut steaks and allsorts of specialty food products as well as a wonderful pizza parlor.

Overall a Great Weekend.

  • 4 of 5

The Cabin itself is BEAUTIFUL and super close to Pigeon Forge. It was ready to go and clean. (I'm terrified of arriving somewhere and there being bugs present, but rest assured, this cabin is BUG FREE.) Beds are moderately comfortable. If you're looking to veg out and watch a movie on a big screen TV, look elsewhere.

VERY disappointed that we never received an email with check in directions and it took us 3 phone calls to sort it out. The owners were SUPER accommodating, apologetic and walked us through getting in. They live in Alabama, so that made for a challenge if we couldn't actually get checked in.

Tubs were clean and lovely to soak in. Hot Tub outside is GREAT since its enclosed. (It rained/snowed the whole weekend.) Some light bulbs need to be replaced and it would have been nice to have a few extra towels. Also, it snowed while we were here and we were disappointed that the fireplace wasn't connected to the gas line. Not a deal breaker, but would have been nice.

All in all, it was a lovely weekend and we would stay here again.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 nights and 2 days here and it was great! Absolutely loved the Jacuzzi and hot tub. So extremely relaxing! Very clean. It is an amazing location! You're far out enough that you're secluded from other people but close enough to Pigeon Forge parkway for when you wanna hit the town! Would definitely recommend this place and hope to be able to stay again! Thank you!!!!

We loved the cabin!! It's nicer in person then in the pictures!

  • 4 of 5

This cabin had everything we needed for a long weekend. The cabin is exceptionally clean. It is a country setting with a great front porch! It is very convenient to everything we wanted to do in Pigeon Forge. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star rating is because when the air conditioner comes on it's so loud in the queen size bedroom. You could even feel the vibration in the floor. Not sure if the owner needs to fix something or what. Other then that we would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: In response to the comment concerning the noise with the air conditioner , we have since had a repair tech come out and check this out and did the repair, the unit is just outside of the bedroom , so naturally when it comes on it will be heard.

Only the cabin was nice

  • 3 of 5

Let me start by saying that this is a very nice cabin for the rental price and there were no problems there. However, the location was not so good. It is really not that far from town, but the roads to get there were curve after curve and just not in a good location. There really is no sitting on back deck looking over mountains view because it sits right against a patch of woods that you can't see over and there is this little bitty patch of a yard outback. The cabin sort of sits down between hills and all you can see on either side of you is a patch of woods. So if your looking for a nice mountain view, this cabin is not the one for you. For this reason I only gave 3 stars and probably won't rent here again.

Owner's Response: In response to this review, we have been going to the mountains for many years, and it is sort of impossible to find a road that does not have curves in it, all the roads to the cabin are paved and they are in good condition. The back is very private and it does have woods out back, versus hanging off a mountain, We do have a large front yard if you have children in your party. I understand that everyone has their opinion of what would be the perfect cabin, and I respect that, but we would recommend our cabin to anyone, young or old . Thank you!

AWESOME CABIN

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this cabin for 3 nights. Love, love, loved it!!!! Really felt like home. Very, very clean and decorated so nice, really gave it a home feel!! Beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. Enjoyed our coffee on the front porch in the mornings. It is not too far from the road but with how wonderful the cabin was it really didn't matter. Woods in the back and the side so really not a big deal. You still have privacy. I would absolutely stay there again. Not too far from all the action but enough out of the way to relax from it all. I highly recommend it!!

Love this cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We are currently staying in this cabin for 4 days. I love it! It looks just like the pictures, except the view from the front porch. The trees have grown taller on the hill next to the cabin so you're not able to see the mountain in the distance. This cabin is beautifully decorated with tasteful decor. Beds are very comfortable. Love the kitchen. Love the recliners on the couch and chair. Enjoyed our coffee on the front porch this morning. Although there are other cabins nearby it is secluded due to trees and the terrain that surrounds the cabin. You have privacy here. The landscaping is beautiful and well tended to. We are very comfortable and at home here. I am very pleased with our choice to stay here and highly recommend it!!
