There's no other place like it in the east!
What makes this House unique
We have a sense of serenity here that is hard to put into words. Everything we need is in Montgomery Center. When we size up what's happening at the tram house from the kitchen window it's nice to know that the hill is only 15 minutes away.

Beautiful home close to Jay
Lovely home with a very cozy feel. Especially liked the kitchen and fireplace. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
Great house, great view, great location
We stayed the week after Christmas 2017 with temperatures below zero every day. The house was immaculate and well equipped, and stayed warm on the coldest of those days. The back of the house has incredible views of woods and mountains. The owner setup spot lights at the tree line for night viewing, and even added Christmas lights to an evergreen. The house is a 15 minute ride to Jay Peak, and 5 minutes away from several restaurants and a small grocery store. Besides skiing I recommend the water park, my 11 and 16 year olds did not want to leave. I also recommend The Belfry Restaurant, just get their early.
Cozy home away from home
My wife and I enjoyed a fine weekend in this lovely home. Although the weather was a bit wet, we were cozy next to the wood stove with great light for reading our books coming from the huge windows.
It is hard to beat for comfort - the owners have thought of everything for you comfort and use. The house is quiet and secluded but still close to services in Montgomery Center. Jay is 15 minutes away, tops.
Highly recommended if you want to get away from it all.
Glad you enjoyed. Those fall showers turn in to the white stuff Jay is famous for!
Magical Holiday Week with Family
We rented this beautiful property from Dec 26- Jan 1, 2011. The house worked great for our group, The kitchen proved to be a gathering space with it's eat-in table/booth arrangement. Very well equipped and user friendly. The wood stove worked well enough but it was not a gathering point as we might have expected. It is in a high traffic area and we did not feel we could use it during the day with young children walking by it. The heating system made up for it with its many zones that allowed very good control. At first we thought the kitchen floor was pretty cold but when I found the book of pictures that showed the renovation I realized that the thermostat near the table in the kitchen controlled the floor - very nice!
The bedrooms certainly worked but with 2 rooms with double beds (not queens) and two other rooms with a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a single on top - the accommodations for couples beyond the master left something to be desired. The double beds were also not comfortable at all.
The weather was a complete mix of cold with fresh snow at the beginning of the week to quite warm at the end. This allowed us to have it all including a great snowman. The lights in the trees and floods in the yard enhanced the feel at night.
All-in-all a great rental from a guy with a great attitude - easy to work with and concerned that all went well for us. It was as advertised and very clean. Definitely recommend to a family for a gathering. We went to News Years Eve fireworks at Jay Peak which were very nice and worth the drive (15 mins)
Glad you enjoyed the house Ken. The beds have been upgraded since your stay. There are 2 rooms with queens and one with a double, as well as 2 rooms with bunks - double on the bottom and single on top. Gerry.
Secluded and in full comfort
We spent a wonderful 3 days long weekend at Jay Peak Vacation Home in Montgomery Center.
Being a group of 7 adults and 2 teenagers, we enjoyed cooking in the large and very well equipped kitchen, all the kitchenware needed was there. We were thrilled to cook on the large rustic style gas stove. There was plenty of room for everyone. A Large living room, a family room equipped with a large LCD, a DVD player and a sound system with speakers all around the first floor made our late evenings even more enjoyable .Upstairs, the master bedroom was a real suite with a bath just aside a bay window with a fantastic view of BigJay yet providing all the privacy needed. It felt just as if the mountain was part of the house's private garden. All beds were comfortable and plenty of linens were supplied.
The neighbourhood is quiet; few horses in the nearby field, mountain stream and wild geese filled the tonal picture.
Terrific break from the City, will certainly repeat the experience.
