This comfortable classic Manzanita beach house in the best location is our 'Big House' address 180 N. Carmel -- one of two homes that can be rented separately or together. It is one of the few houses in the heart of Manzanita with tons of off street parking for your guests, boats or rv's. It is two minute walk to the beach and just steps from the main street, Laneda. This House sleeps 8 people. The main level has a bedroom with two sets of bunk beds and attached bathroom/laundry room. The upstairs has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. It has WiFi and cable. This child and dog friendly house is in the perfect location for a wonderful beach getaway.

Finally, please be aware that although we invite dogs to join their families, they are not permitted on the furniture in order to keep the house nice for all of our guests. Failure to comply may result in the loss of the damage deposit.

A maximum of 14 people could stay when rented together with the 'Little House', which sleeps 6.For information on The Little House, please see 'Family Compound II' listing #201974.

Please note that $150 processing fee is included in the rate.

10% discount given when both houses are rented together for a week.

I'd stay again.Clean and comfortable. Basic kitchen and bathrooms. Living room was light and bright.

Location was everything. Also, the bunk beds downstairs were great for 2 families of kids. Quiet second floor for adults. Owner was responsive with communication.

Great house and perfect location!!!

We loved this house and loved the location. The house was super comfortable and worked great for our family. The location was amazing. We were just a few blocks from the beach and less than a block from the main drag. We drove in on our first day and didn't drive until it was time to go home. We love Manzanita and we love this home!!!

What a fantastic location!

The house was exactly as pictured. I could go on and on about the house, but the location is the real reason to choose this place. If you want to shop, eat, go the beach yet never get into the car, this is the spot. It's so close to beach it was easy just to go back and forth all day for snacks, bathroom breaks, or whatever else you might need. Like I said, the house was great. The open floor plan kept our party vibe going the whole time. The couch, kitchen and dining table was big enough to accommodate all of us. We would stay again in a heart beat!

Great location; good value

Pros: 1) Love the location, super close to Laneda (main street in Manzanita) and the beach. We only drove once in three days and then only to go over to Nehalem Bay. Given the proximity, the kids (ages 10-13) could go back and forth from the beach and town (candy store!) on their own, which was great. 2) Very comfortable beds! We loved the firm mattresses. 3) Well supplied. We appreciated the games and beach toys that come with the house. Kids got good use out of a kite. 4) Ample parking.

Cons: 1) Kitchen could use a bit of updating. 2) Back deck is not fenced off, which meant we couldn't let our dog go back and forth from the house to the "dog run" without risking that he would wander off. The lack of a fenced off back deck also means a real lack of privacy, given that it is adjacent to the house immediately behind this house - guests in that house walk by the back deck to get to their place.

Secret Spot

Initially, we were bummed we couldn't find a house on the beach. We figured we'd settle for this one and it turns out we didn't settle at all. The house is literally one block to the beach and one block to shops and restaurants. It doesn't get more central than this place. Inside the house is nice, tastefully furnished and bright. The kitchen is stocked with great implements and there is a grill waiting for some salmon. Plenty of room for a family or even two. Margaret was very accommodating, as we had booked the same day. We will definitely try and nab this place again first chance we get.
