If you are interested in tropical plants in a peaceful environment and enjoy the sounds of birds, Entabeni is the place for you. We are connected to nature and all that nature has to offer.
Delicious eggs, organic vegetables, spectacular views, tropic fruits when available, and an opportunity to commune with nature at your doorstep.
The stay at Terry's was everything we could have hoped for, we only wish we had longer to stay. We so enjoyed roaming the property, speaking with her, and playing with her sweet dogs. We had everything we needed in the cottage and it was in one of the most beautiful settings on Earth! This is a great place to slow down and live in the moment!
A very cozy away from the city life cottage! We had lots of rain but that made it even more charming! Definitely will come back! The owners were very nice and they give you fresh eyes each day!
The cottage was the perfecting retreat after days of adventure in Hana. The views looking out to the ocean were always a beautiful sight to come "home" to. This was 100% better than what any hotel could offer. We left feeling very peaceful.
This is the place dreams are made of. We absolutely loved it. You drive up a mountain jungle to get to it. The interior is decorated charmingly. It is very private and has a washer and dryer in the cottage with you! Terry and Michael, despite both being under the weather, were attentive, responsive host. Wish I could spend more time there.
My wife and I had the fortunate opportunity to stay three nights with Terry and Michael. They are amazing hosts and live in absolute paradise. Sit back and relax. Walk through the oasis of botanical gardens, listen to the waves, watch whales for afar, experience free range Ginny fowl...the list goes on! Terry brought us fresh eggs and other delights from their gardens. They have water toys for the guests to use. The studio home is cabin like in the tropics and well appointed. Hana and the sights are within 20 minutes or so. We at first thought that was aways out, but the time is due to the Hana Highway. Location is perfect. Thanks Terry and Michael for helping make our trip magical!
We stayed for 2 nights and this cottage is amazing. It was so relaxing as we were all alone with exception of the friendly companionship of Michael and Terry's lovable cats and dogs. Really nice break from having to contend with a multitude of close neighbors at the resorts on the west and south parts of Maui. The ocean on the north side can be a bit rough especially in winter months so be prepared to consider activities other than snorkeling on those days. The unit comes with some snorkel gear but they obviously cannot provide fins for all sizes so you may want to rent those in town if snorkeling is on your agenda. The northeast side of the island is wet and you can expect rain pretty much every night and some sprinkling during the day. The humidity is high much like other coastal locations in North America but the temperatures are great so it is not uncomfortably hot or cold.
The cottage comes with everything you could possibly need in terms of bathroom and kitchen supplies (including bug spray) and the hosts are fantastic. The listing showed satellite internet service so I was prepared for spotty service at best. The WIFI was actually really good and we had no issues connecting to Netflix though we didn't need it because they have a great selection of DVD movies and TV shows. Daily fresh eggs were such a treat. I wish I had discovered this little piece of heaven sooner as I would have loved to have stayed for a whole week.
