Why Wendy Meaden chose Estes Park

We've been coming to Estes Park since 1985. We fell in love with the beautiful mountain views, the wildlife, and the challenging hikes. When we found Eaglecrest, we found paradise. We get to see: Elk, Muleteer, Turkey, Coyote, and sometime bear. Being able to hike into the park directly makes this a very special property. With the proximity of RMNP, it's like having your own 265,000 acre ranch with 350 miles of trails to explore. Our large deck is great for watching the sunset, reading, and grilling out while the kids play horseshoes. Inside, the three living areas and a cozy fireplace offer a roomy and comfortable place for all family members to enjoy. We have an extensive library of books on local history, hiking, and rock climbing. Also, we have a large DVD collection, WiFi, and two large screen TV's. The cabin is located near the YMCA of the Rockies.

What makes this house unique

At Eaglecrest, you and the folks you bring with you will find peace and quiet, and all the outdoor adventures you could want! This cabin is a special place to re-connect with the beautiful outdoors and family. Also, we are locateded adjacent to the YMCA of the Rockies. All the amenities and activities are accessible with a YMCA of the Rockies family membership or purchase of a individual's day pass. For more information visit

A great stay

  • 5 of 5

We have rented a VRBO cabin in Estes each of the last ten years and this one tops the list. The seclusion, indoor comforts, combination of several outdoor patios and views (from inside and outside) and location on private property adjacent to the Y combine to make it a wonderful rental choice. The owners are very knowledgable on local hiking options and the local area. Having the bunkhouse as an add-on, flexible option if a couple extra family members tag along is a big bonus. Five stars. Would not hesitate to rent again.

Awesome Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd visit to the cabin with our family and we enjoyed as much if not more than we did last year. So much to do and see on the property and surrounding areas. Views are breathtaking and the cabin has everything that you need and more for a relaxing vacation. Great suggestions for hikes and dining in the area or the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to do your own cooking. Remote enough to see plenty of wildlife and not be bothered with neighbors, but close enough to visit Estes Park for shopping or dining and of course, Rocky Mountain National Park. Other than spending time with our family, who now live in other states, my favorite thing this year was hiking Alberta Falls and The Loch. Such beauty all around outside and the cabin is decorated beautifully with lots of information inside the cabin to help you really enjoy your stay. Ready to plan our next trip back.

Awesome Place & Awesome Service!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful views of mountainside and also wildlife! We were excited to see a HUGE Bull Elk right outside our front door!

The first night it was dark and we couldn't get into the bunkhouse, but a quick phone call to the 24/7 line got us inside quickly!

We used the main cabin and also the bunkhouse! The facilities were PERFECT for our group of 14 adults!

Easy access to YMCA and short drive to Estes Park was great!

I received my deposit back within a couple of days!

Would LOVE to come back!

Beautiful refreshing have, comfortably situaded, and well kept - a Treasure!

  • 5 of 5

Your Eaglecrest home has been a delightful haven for our 9 day stay. Eaglecrest is beautifully isolated, and yet conveniently located – stocked with all that could be desired, comfortably and fittingly decorated, with visits from mule deer as a treasured regular part of our stay. Informative cabin and park books along with your video selections from Focus on the Family were a great and unexpected treat! The rugged look and yet modern convenience of your home, along with its spacious layout, afforded our family of 10 a comfortable and remarkable experience. Communication with management and provision for our needs was extended easily and with grace. The décor, sun room, fireplace, and convenient access to R.M.N.P are among our greatest appreciations. Thank you for your kindness. It is our hope to return again in the future.

Fantastic Estes Park experience!

  • 5 of 5

Our family ( 5 adults and 3 children) spent 6 nights in this amazing cabin in the mountains! It is so comfortable and roomy, that we all had places to spread out to relax and play. It is so convenient to the Rocky Mountain National Park, and our older kids even enjoying hiking to the top of Emerald Mountain from the trails behind the house. It is fully stocked with everything you need, and is filled with nice amenities. Our little guys really enjoyed the stocked toy box and the Lincoln Logs made for hours of quiet time! Thank you so much for sharing your home! We had a great vacation in Colorado. We even had friends stop by from Ft. Collins for a day, and were so impressed by this cabin and it's quiet location. I am forwarding them all the information, so they can book it for a future "family get-together! A wonderful home to stay in, while enjoying all that Estes Park has to offer!

Cozy Mountain Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed in this wonderful cabin located near the YMCA facility. It was a beautiful spot to relax and a great base for hikes and trips to RMNP. Far enough from town to feel remote, yet close enough to go in to town to our favorite dinner spots. Although it was just the two of us, this cabin has plenty of room for family and friends. The wildlife, especially the elk, were a real treat to see up close. I would definitely recommend this house to my friends.
