Very clean and spacious

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home; great, open back yard with plenty of room for kids to play; fully stocked kitchen, and bedrooms were peaceful and cute. Fun art in the rooms and natural light from all the windows...perfect for mountain viewing. Thankful also for a very large dining room table. We walked up and down the road and saw deer several times. Perfect location for all the fishing and hiking we did from Aspen to Glenwood.

Spacious and great for an extended family of 11 that needed 6 bedrooms.

  • 5 of 5

We all enjoyed this lovely rustic home in a very nice development. Our family of seven adults, and four children between the ages of 11 and 16, all slept comfortably in the six bedrooms that were perfect for our size family. The house is well described in the review of February 2017, (though we DID NOT have any problems at all with any gas or dead mouse odors). The great things about the home include its spaciousness, views, wildlife (deer & magpies on the property), decks, and amenities (e.g. pool table) as well as its central location and proximity to Hwy 82. We cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, and grilled on the deck that was just large enough that all of us could eat outside in the pleasant evenings (there were both a gas grill and a charcoal grill). It is nicely located, with drives of about 1/2 to 3/4 hour to the Mt. Sopris trailhead, Maroon bells, and Aspen. Horseback riding. Mountain biking, hikes, the thrilling (and scary!) rides and the beautiful caverns of Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, river-rafting, and the Basalt Sunday market are all closer. A Whole Foods and large City Market are only 3.5 miles away. In the evenings we enjoyed the home while playing card games, Colorado Monopoly, pocket billiards, talking and telling stories, and, of course, enjoyed the spectacular and awe-inspiring view of the brilliant stars and Milky Way from the deck. If you need a hairdryer, bring one; and if you think you'll need more than 8 rolls of TP for your crowd, bring some (2 rolls per bathroom were supplied). All-in-all, a fine house in a central location for a Colorado family trip. The hosts left us some ground coffee and a great suggestion for a restaurant that we went to (Free Range Kitchen and Wine Bar). All in all, a fine home in a central location.

Great house for a large group!

  • 5 of 5

We visited Colorado from Feb 13-19, 2017. There were 6 adults and 9 children in our group, and we had the perfect amount of room. There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor; 1 large master bedroom with a king bed and a bathroom attached, where 2 adults and an 18 mo old in a pack-n-play stayed, 1 bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom right around the corner (where 2 adults slept), and a third bedroom with either a queen bed or a double (can't remember) and the bathroom down the hall where 2 boys (ages 8 and 10) slept. There are 2 bedrooms on the second floor where 2 adults were in one and two girls (ages 5 and 7) were in the bedroom with 2 twin beds and a very large closet. The bathroom on the second floor had shower knobs that didn't allow the shower to turn on all the way. Downstairs in the basement we had 4 girls (ages 16, 12, 11, 6) in the bedroom which had a queen bed and just enough room for a queen futon mattress. There were two bedside tables in that room and a closet, but not much room for storage. That room also has a bathroom right around the corner. Also downstairs is a great tv room that the kids really enjoyed (although we had issues with the picture blanking out on various movies), but the television viewing was no problem. There was an issue with smell on the very last day in the tv room and upon inspection there was a mouse in a trap in the closet with the water heater and storage. Those things happen, but we wanted to note it. There is also a large game room with a pool table that walks out to the patio and backyard. The cue stick holder was pulling out of the wall, so we did need to be extra careful with that. The downstairs was a great place for the kids to hang out when not skiing. The main floor had a table that when extended could seat 12. It was great to put all the kids together, but the adults generally sat/stood at the kitchen island that had three seats. We used the stove daily, and noticed a gas smell when using the oven. Worried us at first, but seemed like everything was ok and it worked well. The house is in a great neighborhood, but if going for a run, be on the look out for a large dog in the area that wasn't chained up. It was a solid 25-30 minute drive to Buttermilk or Snowmass each day, so be prepared to commute. We appreciated the tip on the restaurant Free Range in Basalt a short drive away. It was delicious! The hosts were great with lots of communication and we would definitely stay here again.

Very nice house on a beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

The house was so nice, we had a group of 14 women and we all had room to eat together and hangout in the nice tv room area. The beds were very nice and plenty of bathrooms. I would 100% recommend this house to anyone so beautiful

Better than advertised

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful property that is even nicer than the pictures. We had a large group in town for a wedding and would have loved to spend more time here if we could. Very spacious, clean, and some nice touches such as a closet full of board games, bbq grill, and a stereo system. There are plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets, coaches and chairs, and unique artwork in every room. The open floor plan with the kitchen, dining, living room is nice for large groups to hang out together. Plenty of dishes and new appliances, including washer and dryer (with soap!) There is a pool table downstairs with an entertainment center. There was soap and shampoo in the showers. The master bath shower is one of the best showers I've ever used. The property owners are friendly and informative. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!
