Needs Complete Update!

The area is great, close to everything, pool heated and large, and the people were extremely friendly. Made lots of friends! Will see them next year. Having said that, I did find the condo to be misleading for the following reasons: needs major updating, metal shelves in lazy susan in kitchen were rusty and sticky, pots and pans were also sticky, handle on toilet bowl was very loose, tub filled up with water every time I took a shower, tub drain was rusty and water turned brown, had one beach chair that was also rusty (had to ask for chairs), button on air conditioner in main bedroom, was hard to push to change temperature (was told nothing could be done about it), iron was rusty...couldn't use it (how much does an iron cost?), window in guest bedroom was broken...couldn't open it. Had to ask for the key to the mailbox (that should of been on the key ring with the other keys). It is now...because I put it there! The person taken care of the rental was called as soon as we got there because there was garbage left in the pail (was told it was the insulation from the ceiling fixture), something in toilet (didn't look...just flushed), and I must say...she did try to clean the lazy susan and pots. But because the shelves were so old, they were still sticky. Only used one pot while I was there. Her comment was "sometimes the cleaning people miss things." She did have a plumber come to fix the handle on the toilet but he never fixed the tub. When I left, the tub still needed to be fixed...still standing in ankle deep water. She did bring over a beach chair. Called her again because there were two of us staying there...needed another chair, should of been there to begin with (condo set up for 4 people....why not 4 chairs?). The rusty iron and broken window were not brought to her attention because I really got tired of calling her. I'm sure they saw all of these problems because they didn't happen overnight! These things should of been taking care of before any renter came in! I did ask for a reimbursement for the aggravation I had to endure....my answer was a flat out NO! Hopefully, these things will be fixed for the next renter!!

Owner's Response: This renter was just looking to get money back. The only complaint that she had when she first arrived was that there was fruit in the trash and that there were fruit flies everywhere and it smelled. I immediately went over to see what the problem was. When I got there I opened the trash and it was not fruit at all but a piece of yellow insulation that was removed from a ceiling light that was installed. It did not smell and there were No fruit flies anywhere!!! It was just insulation. She acted like she was going to faint when I picked it up to show her. It was a bit comical. Lets just say some people are a bit more dramatic than others. And after 9 years of managing this rental she definitely takes the cake. Only after she left did she contact me requesting money back with a list of ridiculous complaints. She told me she could not get friends to vacation with her any longer and I know why.

Great place

We needed a place for several weeks to sleep while we were in Marco island, it was clean had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom small kitchen with pretty much every thing you would need. We just used the kitchen for morning stuff. Close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants.

Thank you so much for such a fabulous vacation. The condo was perfect and meet all of our needs and the price was just right. We were close to the beach and all the restaurants and stores. The pool at the condo complex was large and really nice and we even used the grills a couple of times. We can not wait to come back.
