Great cabin! BBre
We thoroughly enjoyed this cabin. So much so that I wanted to book again this weekend for our anniversary, but it was already booked. We loved being on fightington creek. We didn't get to fish due to heavy rains just prior to our visit, but are looking forward to doing that on our next visit. The cabin itself was very roomy and accommodating for us and our 2 dogs. In the evening it was nice to enjoy the satellite tv with many stations to choose from. The only thing I would improve upon is some items in the kitchen. This didn't bother us too much as our stay was short and we enjoyed going into the town of blue ridge for lunch/dinner.
Pretty cabin , but we won't stay here again.
Cabin was nice enough, good layout and plenty of room, but the cabin was dirty. There were barely any pots or pans to cook with and the few there were , were greasy and sticky. The couch , chairs and king bed are badly broken down and sagging. Living room rug was stained and dirty looking. We stayed here because we had a funeral and they tried to schedule a showing of the cabin at 10 am on Valentine's day for their realtor right when we had a cabin full trying to get ready. They did reschedule for us, but still. There is no cell service, internet is not reliable and no long distance on phone, so be ready to be totally out of touch. Water was brown the whole time and no water pressure at all in the kitchen. Hot tub was over half empty had to fill it to get it to cover jets .
Guests complained a lot and tried the old discount scam - would never rent to them in future. Actually held a wake at our cabin and left piles and piles of trash.
Included everything we needed & very spacious
Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our 3rd stay at this cabin. We’ve stayed in several different cabins over many years, and this one we look forward to returning to again! The fireplace, hot tub, and large dining table are a plus for us in the winter. In the past, we stayed in the summer & were very pleased with the river access. There were plenty of towels & extra bedding. The cabin is always very clean & well maintained! Not to mention the price is super affordable!
Absolutely loved the cabin very relaxing listening to the creek as we enjoyed the deck with the gas.
The cabin was everything we expected and we were sad to leave. We loved the sound of the creek as we sat on the deck around the gas fireplace. We will definitely keep the cabin in our books as a place that we will definitely cost again.
Acorn Trout Lodge getaway weekend!
We spent 3 lovely nights at this secluded mountain lodge. Enjoyed the deck with fireplace and rockers very much.......listening to the stream below was especially relaxing. The lodge was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We took our Great Pyrenes along and appreciate the owner's pet friendly set up. Close to Blue Ridge and Mercier Orchards. Would definitely come back again! Loved it!
Family of six
Beautiful spacious cabin. The family enjoyed sitting on back deck looking at the water. It was a beautiful setting. The weather was not great but still enjoyed trip.
