This spacious unit is located in a vibrant Istanbul neighborhood populated by professionals, retired people, children, teenagers, artists and homemakers. Being on the 10th floor, with double-pane windows, it is quiet.
It is very accessible by public transport and cabs: 30 km from Istanbul Ataturk airport, 13 km from Old Town, 6.4 km from Taksim Square and 3 km from the Bosphorus shores. Very picturesque areas nearby like Bebek & Arnavutkoy have an abundance of exquisite fresh seafood restaurants, and also provide shopping, fishing and people-watching opportunities, only a few minutes (3 km) by cab, within downhill walking distance on steep, narrow, cobblestoned streets .
For groups of more than 5, we also have accommodations in the adjacent condominium at the same rates. We can mail pictures if needed.
The Artists' Park around the corner serves coffee, tea and Sunday brunch. The bakery across the street is open at 7 am with take-out pastries fresh from the oven, for a relaxed breakfast at home.
The building is secure, accessible only to residents. Metered taxicabs are right around the entrance and take people expertly along ancient and modern streets of Istanbul anywhere in the city with reasonable fares. Award winning shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, barbers, banks, bookstores and newspaper stands, are within a short walking distance.

My name is Oya. I am a small business owner and my husband is a retired physics professor. We live on Oregon, USA, have 3 grandchildren. I was born, raised and spent a good part of my life in Istanbul, moved to the USA in 1982, but go back frequently. A few years ago, I inherited the condo from my parents and undertook a complete renovation project. The unit is used by my family and friends during visits to Istanbul. When vacant, I rent it on a short-term basis.
I am a jewelry designer and show my work, including jewelry that are created by talented artisans in Turkey, several times a year. If you enjoy but did not get a chance to buy Turkish pieces and would like to, please check my website and Facebook: Via Parigi Personal Jewelers.
Oya Kara purchased this condo in 2005
I was lucky to inherit this condo in one of the most desirable residential locations in Istanbul.
I enjoy the proximity to the Bosphorus and public transport, the place being full of light and open to a 180 degree view of the area including the Asian shores. The grocer, barber, bank, restaurants, baker, newsstand, drycleaner, taxicabs are all within easy walking distance and they deliver right to the door. In the morning, while the tea is brewing, I like to go across the street to the bakery for warm boereks and pastries right out of the oven. I also appreciate the security of the building, the neighbors and the two supers who are ready to help at a moment's notice.
"Just wanted to thank you for a lovely stay in your Istanbul apartment. We had a wonderful time and it was a great headquarters for us. Roomy and comfortable, with a fantastic view of the City! The sofa bed was perfectly comfortable, as advertised. And you were right, of course, about the neighborhood: quiet and pleasant. The shopkeepers were all friendly and helpful. We all swooned over the baklava from the bakery. As you predicted, we fell in love with Istanbul. What a lively, vibrant old city! We feel like we went everywere (thanks to the wonderful tour guide you suggested) and did everything and still just scratched the surface. We are looking forward to a return visit someday. My most striking impression was of the peple who were uniformly friendly, charming and welcoming. A great experience! Thank you, again, for helping make our trip such a happy adventure.
Exceptional location, wonderful landlord, conveniently located.
Would stay here anytime again. I ve stayed here four months and
will miss the stunning view from this one of a kind living room.
As a family of five, we stayed in Oya's Apartment for four weeks. The apartment was well equipped and provided us with whatever we needed . Oya is a great host, she was always in contact with us with regard to our needs, she responded promptly resolving few insignificant problems. The neighborhood is very nice and clean with friendly people. Having the opportunity to shop fresh fruits, meat and bread in a walking distance was a great advantage. Although it is far from the historical sites and cost more to commute, but it's worth it.
We will definitely stay there again next time we go to Istanbul and we will recommend it to others.
I stayed with my family (four of us) in Oya's Apartment for a full month, The apartment was excellent, The Area is the best in Istanbul for family and long stay. The apartment is located in a very nice and quite street, Plenty of space and all necessary amenities. . Oya was a great host and he nephew Mr John was great help when we arrived and he was always there to answer any query and he speaks excellent English.
We will definitely stay there again next time we come to Istanbul and we will recommend it to friends
I found Oya's apartment to be all that was promised in the pre-trip information. I particularly enjoyed the views from our tenth story, high above the soaring birds .An early riser, I enjoyed seeing sunrise over the local mosque, and hearing the calls to prayer several times per day. Cabs are readily available and took us quickly to the Bosporus towns of Ortakoy and Bebek, each filled with sights, markets and bazaars, and great restaurants. Walking beneath green tree canopies in the neighborhood and the fragrances of jasmine were pleasant examples of nature existing in this vibrant city of 15 million people! And one cannot forget the cats and dogs of Istanbul, owned by no-one but lovingly cared for by all the citizens of the city!

We spent the week of March 9, 2015 here, and I found the apartment a wonderful base to explore this amazing city. The apartment is recently renovated and welcoming; clean and well appointed. There's a cute and efficient kitchen and lovely bathrooms, a big dining area and living room with floor to ceiling windows. You have a wonderful view of the city and, to your left Artists' Park, a lovely green oasis in the midst of such a cosmopolitan area.
I didn't really realize how much staying in the apartment would add to my experience of Istanbul. It was a pleasant surprise to me how much I enjoyed the immediate neighborhood. The first morning I went down to the neighborhood bakery, filled with delicious Turkish treats, and was struck by how warm and friendly the people were. The second morning when I went down everyone in the bakery remembered and seemed delighted to see me, and by the third visit they greeted me like an old friend.
I also enjoyed Artists' Park, just two blocks from the apartment. Walking there in the late afternoon was a calm and peaceful respite from the intensity and excitement of such an amazing city. I always felt safe there and everyone, from the doorman in the lobby to people on the street, were so polite and helpful.
In fact, I became comfortable enough to teach myself the subway system, and realized with delight how easy it is to travel to many of the places that I had only
been to by taxis. The subways are clean and efficient and you can get to the nearest station by walking just a few blocks from the apartment. Then you can find your way either into the center of the old city or by funicular down to the area near Dolmabahce palace. By the end of my stay I felt a little bit like someone who actually belonged in the neighborhood instead of a stranger in such a big city.
