Very quiet neighborhood. Come get away from the rat race and enjoy all the beauty and serenity that the West Shore of Lake Tahoe has to offer! This is a great value for a little get away.

I designed and built my Tahoe home after many years of dreaming of such.
Approximately 30 feet from great hiking trails at Sugar Pine Point State Park, which quickly take you to a wide sandy stretch of beach at Lake Tahoe or to General Creek and Lost Lake for more hiking or trout fishing. These same trails are groomed for cross country skiing during the winter.
We found the place to be a wonderful haven. The queen bed was better than the one at home! There is no stove, but the refrigerator, microwave and hotplate were plenty for our needs. Nice and quiet.
The description on VRBO was very accurate and it was even better than we imagined. Really close to hiking trails, off the highway, quiet and charming. It was clean and cozy and the owner was very kind and welcoming. You have all the privacy that you could ask for and the price was right.
My two teenage daughters and I stayed here. It was a great place to venture out from and then return to relax in. It is close to bike paths, stake Parks, hikes and the waterfront. It is a great location with Tahoe to the north and Emerald Bay to the South. It was small but nice for the three of us. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The owner lives upstairs and is very kind. The area is beautiful.
We loved this little apartment. Very quiet and comfortable. Its basically three rooms - one bedroom which also has the kitchen in it, a bathroom and the master bedroom. The owner lives upstairs and was very helpful and quiet. Everything in the apartment was great but what we really enjoyed was sitting outside amid the trees, the quiet, birds, chipmunks and ground squirrels running around which are very entertaining. Another plus is the location of the place which is mid way between Tahoe City and South Lake Tahoe. The lake is about a 15 minute walk away. The path down there can be a bit difficult to find. You need to walk through the state park next door.
My two children and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was exactly what we needed, as we were joining a group of friends who were camping at Sugar Pine, and we wanted real beds instead. The place was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The kitchenette was great for preparing meals to bring to the campsite. Terry was amazing and sweet, I wish we could have gotten to talk to her more. I will definitely return if I go back to the area. Down the road is "Where We Met" which makes really good cocoa, and cappuccinos.
We’ve been Tahoe many times, this is the best of best. My entire family enjoyed the 3-day stay so much in Carol’s beautiful cabin – quiet, cozy, clean and well maintained. It’s like home away home. Thank you, Carol!
Oh, did I mention Carol is an artist? Don’t miss her gorgeous paintings on the bedroom wall.
