We bought this condo because we love Crested Butte! Our family has been visiting CB for years. This is a perfect location: ski-in, ski-out, with easy access to the slopes, the town shuttle, and more and more great restaurants. The three-level floor plan lets us be together, but have privacy when we need it. In the summer, it's a great place to set up as home base, while we mountain bike, fish, and camp.

Why Owner chose Mount Crested Butte
We love the outdoors! We wanted to have a place where we could spend time with our family doing what we enjoy. This is perfect!
What makes this Condo unique
We have the PERFECT location.
Pool / Spa
Local Services & Businesses
Sports & Adventure Activities
Close to the slopes!
Perfect economical family rental. Just steps from the lifts and town shuttle. We had a great time staying here and enjoying this wonderful mountain.
Second time staying here. The location is what brings us. Nice place.
Great location, well stocked
It's an older building and soundproofing wasn't great, fortunately, our neighbors went to bed at a reasonable time. Beds were ok, lots of stairs
12 days of Fun!
This was our 2nd year to stay at this condo! We loved it! Perfect location and condo had everything we needed for our 12 day stay!
Not a true 2 bedroom
It should be said that this is not a true 2 bedroom condo; it is a 1 bedroom plus a loft. The room with the queen sized bed is a loft, open to the living room/kitchen below. The upper bedroom with the two twin beds has very tall windows with curtains that only cover a portion of the windows. The sun rises right into this bedroom and is extremely bright so long as the sun is up.
The location of this condo is excellent and just steps from all of the mountain activities.
The building itself is quite old and there is no elevator. There are about 50 stairs to climb to get up to the condo (4th floor). There an additional 25 stairs inside the condo, so be ready for a workout. The inside of the condo is very dated, but serves its purpose. During the day, in the warm weather, the condo gets a bit warm, especially in the top level bedroom.
Crested Butte is beautiful and quaint town that words cannot describe!
This condo is 2 bedroom and 2 baths, however, the main bedroom with queen bed is open to the floor below. It is on the second floor with stairs a door that closes and a bathroom. Due to the vaulted ceiling, you lose privacy if someone is below watching TV or in the kitchen. There is a bit of a tradeoff for the open feel of the room.
It will depend on the makeup of your group whether you feel a lack of privacy or enjoy the open layout. I think the unit is best for 4 people, 2 in the queen on the second floor and two in the twins on the third floor. The unit is probably best suited to families or people who are comfortable sharing space. We have two children and we really like the layout.
Stairs- The unit does have a flight of stairs from the parking level and then two flights of stairs from the ski level. If anyone in your party has mobility issues or trouble with altitiude I do not suggest it. The other side of this is the location. We have a ski locker and the location beats walking another hundred yards to the bus, schlepping all of your equipment on and off of the bus and walking to your condo with an elevator.
Our place is utilitarian. We have not done a lot of updating, but get new sheets, bedding, towels every year. Our pricing reflects that. We also are responsive if you have any problems need something during your stay or have questions about the area (see other reviews). We love CB have family and great local management in the area.
Again our place is ideal for families, groups of close friends and people who are there to ski, hike and enjoy the outdoors. I think it is ideal for 4, but if a 5th shows up you do have a pullout couch.
Great condo steps away from all the action
Emmons building is right in between the Elevation Hotel and main building of Crested Butte so you've got your lift ticket office, shopping, ski rentals, and lots of dining options right in front of the condo. In fact the Avalanche bar & grille is just below/ across from the balcony. The view is great of the base slope/Red Lady lift and also a perfect view of Mt. Crested Butte. Fully equipped kitchen. Loft has a queen, third floor has two twin beds and the sofa opens into a queen. Highly recommend this condo.
