During the construction of these built from the ruins of Périgourdiner Farmhouses Holiday houses was strictly respectful observance of tradition. Here marry the charm of an old country house (fireplace, terracotta) and understated modernity (satellite TV, home cinema).

Beautifully presented cottage in immaculate grounds

  • 5 of 5

Dominique welcomed us as we arrived late and we were very pleased with the cottage and the stunning views. We had come directly from the airport and had no supplies with us so unfortunately had to wait until the next morning to eat. Next time we will be prepared with provisions! The local shops are only 5 minutes drive away.

The swimming pool and grounds were beautiful. The pool wasn't heated so a little chilly for the children in May but perfect for the hotter days. The children really enjoyed the little pony ride and seeing the rabbit and the sheep in the field next to our cottage. The play area was also a good source of entertainment.

Highly recommended for families.

Idyllic setting in the Dordogne!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in La Petite Borde for a week in May/June and had the most enjoyable time. We were amazed by how beautiful the entire property was and the detail that had gone into developing it. Our gite was beautifully decorated and well equipped. It was immaculately clean and well maintained. Dominique and Cathy were both warm and hospitable and available if we'd have required anything. The swimming pool is gorgeous - large and clean with ample deck area and nice furniture. We had our privacy on the property with our own terrace and small barbeque and eating area. The other gites also had guests but the ample property allows for plenty of space and privacy. Wonderful for families, kids can run free and visit the miniature horses or play in the playground. Located very close to Sarlat and a quick drive to all services and the many attractions in the area. We reflect on it often and would love to go back.
