Happy New Years Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I wanted a quiet New Years get away and we found the perfect spot! All the cabins were booked, but Sandy graciously allowed us to rent The Lodge at a 2 person rate. It was a perfect holiday (except my team lost 😢). We enjoyed exploring Little River Canyon, a short drive away, hiking the Bear Creek Log Cabin property, and just relaxing! Although all cabins were in use, we had plenty of privacy. Cabins were clean, tidy, and decorated authenticly. We Loved the hot tub! We grilled or cooked all our meals. Randy and Sandy were very hospitable! It's clear they love sharing their property! We look forward to returning and staying in a smaller cabin.

Honeymoon

  • 5 of 5

This place is a Piece of Heaven on Earth!!! We rented the 1 bedroom cabin, the photos posted do not do it justice. I could not have asked for a better place to spend a few quite days with my husband. we have a Harley that we trailed up and had the most beautiful 2 days of riding, Little River Canon, Desoto Falls, Mentone, and Ft Payne. This place is BEAUTIFUL!!! My husband and I can not wait to be able to return. Thanks Randy and Sandy for such a wonderful stay. Hope to see y'all again really soon. This time I don't think we will be able to leave the children at home.

Put this place on your bucket list! NOW!

  • 5 of 5

You will want to come back year after year!

My husband and 4 of our children stayed in the three bedroom cabin at Thanksgiving four years ago. There are so many things to enjoy right there. We played on the huge outcroppings of rocks and watched the friendly, yet shy goats in the large fenced-in area behind the owners' home. We also hiked from our cabin down into Little River Canyon Preserve. We wondered around the cow pastures. We enjoyed the cabin's fire pit and hot tub. We could have fished in the owner's pond but didn't bring tackle. They have 5 hand-hewn cabins from the late1800's and also a lodge. All the cabins are within eye shot of the owners' home, but still feel private and secluded.

We have been back every Thanksgiving since our first visit in 2009. Every cabin we've stayed in has been clean, neat, tidy, well-stocked, and very comfortable. The pictures don't do the place justice! It is beautiful! And each year we bring more and more of our family! Last year, we rented the lodge and 2 cabins and hosted 34 extended family members, ranging in ages from less than a year old to 81 years old. It was fantastic, and everyone loved it!! (Most of our family lives less than 2 hours away, so several just came to spend the day on Thanksgiving.)

The cabins are gorgeous! The scenery and countryside are breath-taking! The owners are some of the MOST wonderful, sincere, friendly, helpful, and thoughtful people you will EVER meet!! We look forward to visiting with them each year just as much, if not more than, our family vacation!

Our whole, big family is really looking forward to Thanksgiving again this fall at Bear Creek Cabins! Some of us are so excited, we wish November would hurry up and get here!

You will not go wrong vacationing at Bear Creek Cabins, I promise!

Cabin 2, 2 Bedroom

My wife and I had a wonderful two days in the cabin. The place was clean and well-stocked, and there was a wonderfully charming ambiance around the whole place. There were only the two of us, but there was enough room to comfortably sleep four people. There was a stocked fire pit out front for s'mores and hotdogs for nighttime fun, and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing. I went fishing in the clean stocked bass pond and had an amazing morning of just being by myself and enjoying the mountain fog. There was nothing lacking from our weekend, and we would gladly recommend it to others, and fully intend to come back and enjoy more time there!

This was a wonderful cabin for our stay in Fort Payne, Al. It is beautifully decorated in antiques on the inside with cozy blankets and a warm fireplace, too. The outside is surrounded with a lovely view and quiet area. There is a grill, fire pit, and of course, the wonderful hot tub! It is very close to all the Little River Canyon activities, too. The owners are friendly and accomadating for any needs. I would recommend this cabin for anyone traveling to this beautiful area.
