Looking for the perfect lake front home? A relaxing and quiet hideaway? Great swimming and fishing and boating right from your own dock? Traveling with friends and family?

As a builder/developer I own several premium lodges right on Otsego Lake including our 5 bedroom listed below; The Treehouse. We would be happy to provide you with further details and pictures of this home as well as our 3 and 4 bedroom lodges at

'ArrowHead Pointe on Otsego Lake', and our 4 bedroom home, 'LakePointe' which features the most extraordinary lake frontage.

All of our homes have unique features... several have 40 foot tall trees inside of them, one has a private elevator, lake front fire pits, a heated swimming pool. And all of them have several things in common;

exceptionally well appointed, elegantly-rustic comfy interiors, spectacular water front or expansive private locations with sensational views. And all of them include canoes and/or kayaks as well as docks for your own boat or a rental boat.

Please give me a call or email with any questions you might have regarding Cooperstown. My family loves Cooperstown and the lake and we enjoy helping others get the most from their own 'Cooperstown experience'.

About William Miller

Liz and I have been welcoming guests to our Cooperstown vacation retreats for more than a decade. We believe a well maintained and spotlessly clean home is just a small component of a great vacation experience. Too often, consumers experience the result of lack of focus on the part of service providers...telephone calls go to voicemail... emails go unanswered...questions are unanswered and problems go unresolved.

Our philosophy; Great Vacation Experiences Begin And End With Great Customer Service.

For this reason, we have chosen to limit the number of homes we manage to ensure our ability to provide the best customer service possible. Our goal is to leverage a lifetime of intimate knowledge of the Cooperstown area to enable our guests to experience all that Cooperstown has to offer... we are "locals" providing visitors with inside information to enhance their time in our special region.

We are standing by, ready to help you. Call us... or email us

Safe travels, Liz and Bill

William Miller purchased this lodge in 2000

Why William Miller chose Cooperstown

Otsego Lake is 9 miles long and very much under-utilized. Having grown up on the lake, when the opportunity came along to purchase vacant land we jumped at the chance because so much of the shoreline is forever protected there simply are very few parcels available.

What makes this lodge unique

Regardless of the season, The Treehouse provides for a Great Escape. During the winter when the snow blankets the land and the ice on the lake is 18' think, the fireplace adds to a warm and comfy environment. Summer days are spent canoeing, sailing, fishing or power boating on a lake that at times is so uncrowded it feels like your own! And in the fall, the thickly wooded hillsides surrounding the lake turn bright with color and is a great time to hike the trails.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is truly a retreat: a place to relax, unwind, enjoy the quiet and the beauty of the surroundings. The log home is awesome: instantly welcoming, beautifully decorated and equipped, yet warm and inviting; we felt very comfortable and very much at home. The attention to detail is evident throughout. There is plenty of room for a large group; if you travel with kids, the lower level would be a perfect area for them to entertain themselves. I particularly enjoyed the fireplace on the main level (with a fire all set and ready to be lit when we arrived!). This is an ideal, all-season location, within minutes to Cooperstown and all that it offers, or to the other little villages in the area. Summer sports are right out the door (the lake is gorgeous), several museums and other historic sites are found right around the lake, and the state park is within walking distance. What I personally enjoyed most was the amazing sense of peacefulness I experienced from the moment I arrived.

Rustic luxury

Words cannot describe how amazing the Treehouse is. Every corner of the home speaks quality and class. If you are looking for an elegant, quiet get-away, this is the place for you. We had a small family gathering at the Treehouse to celebrate our parent's 50th wedding anniversary and everyone was impressed. Bill, the property owner, keeps his guests in mind from the fresh linens to the fully supplied kitchen. The family was so impressed we are thinking of making this an annual reunion. Thank you, Bill, for your attention to detail and for making this magical home available!

Beautiful one of a kind place!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this home for a large group of friends! The house far surpassed my expectations! We went during the winter for a getaway and the look of the place cover in snow was magical. All the floors were heated which was great for the winter. There is a huge deck overlooking the lake. The little things went a long way. There was already a fire build in the fireplace before we arrived. The kitchen is stocked with all the tools you could possibly need! The beds were comfortable and clean. Huge kitchen and upstairs living room for hanging out. Huge screen TV for movies downstairs. We also had a large enough group that we rented both the treehouse and birds nest, which was great for my friends who are late sleepers.

Owner's Response: Kate, Thank you for taking the time to provide your input. Many people come to Cooperstown during the peak summer season, and undoubtedly enjoy all that our Otsego Lake has to offer regarding activities and sports. But, unless they plan a return trip during the winter, they miss out on the beauty you described...its the main reason our favorite season in Cooperstown is winter! Thanks for being great guests and we truly hope you and your 14 friends will consider a return visit as Preferred Guests! Liz and Bill

Perfect Combination

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying at the Tree House and Bird's Nest this January, hosting 15 others for a reunion weekend, and it was the perfect combination of space, location and scenery. The home is big and beautiful with modern amenities and just a few minutes north of Cooperstown, so it's easy to pop in to town to run errands, sightsee, etc. Bill, the owner of the property, communicated with us in the weeks leading up to the trip and sent very thorough details with clear directions to the house, where everything was and how to check out. Everyone had a really great time and we've already started talking about going back in the spring. Couldn't have asked for a better house for this trip.

Beautiful property that feels like home with tons of space!!!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a frigid weekend at the treehouse but hardly noticed the cold. The fireplace was ready to go with plenty of wood on hand. The kitchen was large and we were able to cook all meals needed for our group. We haven’t stopped talking about our trip and are already discussing another visit next year!

A wonderful Christmas 🎄

  • 5 of 5

This was the second holiday gathering for our extended family at the Treehouse - the first was for Thanksgiving last year. The house is fabulous, as pictures from the website will attest. Owner Bill Miller could not have been more thoughtful and accommodating. He even delivered a Christmas tree to the house for us! We had a wonderful holiday celebration with all of our children and grandchildren. Highly recommended!

Owner's Response: Hiya Beth! Well, you've now enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas at The Treehouse. Maybe consider a return visit for 4Th of July or perhaps Labor Day weekend so you can enjoy that lake you've been seeing through the windows:) Thank you again for being great guests! Bill

Relaxing, beautiful space perfect for families

  • 5 of 5

We had a large party and wanted to find something kid friendly. The space in Cooperstown was even better than we hoped. The accommodations were beautiful and so serene. The space is large enough to have kids play and parents relax, we never felt tight on space. The yard was perfect to let the kids play, despite the cold weather and the heated floors totally topped the Cake. Thank you for helping us ring in the new year in such a beautiful space. This house sets the bar high!
