Great Location. Good value.

  • 4 of 5

We just finished a two night stay at the Loft. The location can't be beat, right on F St. We had 2 adults, 1 kid, and a dog. Any more than that would have been tight. The kitchen was well equipped though we ate most of our meals out. The bathroom is showing its age and is very small. You need to be comfortable stepping way up in to the tub/shower and the toilet requires a few yoga moves to get on/off.

Pros: Location, value, kitchen, clean, comfy bed, great size for 2-3 people, dog friendly. The owner was very responsive to my queries while booking. Great views!

Cons: Bathroom is TINY and could use a refresh. A little street noise comes through the windows (though it dies down early and didn't keep me awake)

Overall, I would certainly stay here again.

Owner's Response: Jason- Thank you so much for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay! The building has tons of character and that is one of the things we love about it. The bathroom has some really nice vintage features but we also know it is time to upgrade. Fortunately, we are getting the work done this month which will include a new layout and fixtures. We will post pictures of the shiny new features. We look forward to having you stay with us again soon! Melissa and Jim

Great location

  • 4 of 5

The location was great for downtown activities. Once you parked for the night everything was within a block or two. The place is in a very old building and so it can be a little noisy especially the steam heater. The place was comfortable for 2 people.

The kitchen could use a new nonstick sauté pan and the can opener was broken. Otherwise had all the essentials. The bed was comfortable except for could use a softer pillow. Overall cozy place to stay.

Owner's Response: Hi Myra- I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the feedback. The building has a tremendous amount of character which is why we love the place. The radiators are a part of that charm :) The radiator in the bedroom area can be turned off if it is too noisy and there is another in the next room that does a good job of heating the whole place. There is also a space heater available. Also, we will upgrade the pan. The pillows are brand new but we will be sure to put more options in the unit. Thanks again and safe travels!

A cozy place. Clean, well situated in the midst of a picturesque mountain town by the Arkansas River

  • 5 of 5

The west views through the large windows reveal a spectacular alpen glow on the Collegiate mountain range almost every morning. The only caveat is that those with physical disabilities should know that there are 30 steps leading to the apartment.

Great spot right in town

  • 5 of 5

This is a great historic flat right in downtown Salida. I stayed there for a month on a work trip and felt right at home. Walk to tons of restaurants and grocery.

You are on the main drag for Salida so you will get some street noise typical with living in an urban environment. I would definitely stay here again.

Handy Loft in F Street

  • 4 of 5

Loft is well positioned in F st to enjoy the views towards Monarch, Poncha Springs and the Mesa. Basics for a short break are included to make the stay run smoothly.

Feather/Down Pillows would be a big improvement for future guests.

Many thanks for letting us use your holiday home.

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I greatly enjoyed staying in the loft for our spring ski trip to Monarch. The loft was perfectly accommodating for us during our stay. The tall ceilings make it feel much bigger than it is, the bed was comfy, and it was so nice to come and go as we pleased. The owners have made sure that you have everything you need while staying. Downtown Salida has so much charm and the locals are so inviting to outsiders. We look forward to visiting Salida and the loft again next year!
