About Janet Soliman

Growing up in Seattle I always dreamed of beaches, tropical scenery and warm days and star filled warm nights. I have traveled to many of these types of places but feel that the north shore of Kauai is the most beautiful I've seen. When I'm at our condo the beauty and serenity make me truly feel like I'm in paradise.

Janet Soliman purchased this condo in 2013

Why Janet Soliman chose Princeville

I absolutely loved the views of the Ocean, Bali Hai and the mountains with majestic waterfalls....I felt I could not find a more beautiful setting and loved the modern, open floor plan with large lanais for eating and entertaining.

What makes this condo unique

Location, location, location! This unit and the complex has it all! There are not many ocean front condos on the north shore...and this one is tops them all!

Excellent location. Stunning sunsets.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every moment. The spacious lanai was perfect for grilling and chilling. The stunning sunsets from the lanai were priceless. The condo was very comfortable and stylishly decorated. The kitchen had everything you needed. Snorkel gear, beach chairs, boogie boards and ice chest were very handy. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

The location of this condo was the best. We were able to walk to the St Regis for sunset cocktails and drive the short distance to Hanalei for shopping and dining. The set up was perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen was well-stocked and we took full advantage of the beach gear. It was nice being right above Hideaways beach - although the repel down to the beach was tricky. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because of no air conditioning. Because this is a ground floor unit, we didn't feel comfortable leaving windows and doors open at night to keep the air circulation going. It got pretty hot at night. The owners have many fans stocked in the place, which was helpful.

Fabulous Ocean Vista - Beautiful & Relaxing Home

  • 5 of 5

We are currently staying at our "home away from home". A "rental" property is far too inappropriate for this lovely place at Pu'u Poa, managed by an owner who is both communicative and kind.

Need I say more? Queen's Hideaway is a great place to stay when visiting Kauai and the north shore. Yes there are several steps to the unit, but easy enough for my 93-year-old father, and once here, you are in for a treat! Simple yet gorgeously decorated, spacious and roomy enough for couples and families.

We love the outside patio and the soaker tub! And the BBQ and well-appointed kitchen are great for eating in - which we do often.

The living room and TV, and fold-out sofa bed in the enclosed atrium, are super comfy and great for both day and evening use.

The view of the ocean is fabulous, the sound of the waves is soooo relaxing, and the community pool is refreshing.

We are here in September and have yet to see a mosquito and the trade winds and many fans are keeping us cool.

We love Foodland and the shopping right down the street, the delicious pizza place next door, the St. Regis Hotel in walking distance, and Hanalei town and beaches a short drive away.

Pua Poa is Shangri-La. A place that brings fun times and beautiful memories! We are looking forward to our second week here - so much to do and see.

My dad just said "The water here is very good!" Just one of the many compliments of our home-away-from-home. Aloha!!!!!

Amazingly beautiful!

  • 4 of 5

The condo is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Views are amazing! The only issue we had was one particular day was pretty humid and the fans were just not enough. An air unit would have been better, but that was the only negative. Kauai is a beautiful island to go to relax to. I would definitely recommend this property! We had a fantastic time!!

Beautiful, comfortable and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful condo. It's nicely designed, furnished, and cared for -- and it's perfectly located. The kitchen has everything you need to actually cook, although we ate out every night because there are so many fun places to eat (esp. Bar Acuda as well as Postcards in Hanalei, the Bistro in Kilauea, and the bar at the St. Regis Hotel in Princeville). Speaking of the St. Regis, it's 100 yards down the street from the condo. Definitely worth checking out a sunset or two from their outdoor terrace/bar. Even closer is the trail to Hideaways Beach, which is also a must see, provided you're agile enough to go down the funky trail -- and come back up too. Good snorkeling at Hideaways. Then of course there is everything else in Princeville, Hanalei, Ha'ena, Na Pali, etc. This area should be cited in the dictionary's definition of the word "paradise." We had a great time (in this our third visit to the area but first to this condo), and we'll definitely be back for more -- probably staying in this condo again.

Perfection in paradise

  • 5 of 5

Queens Hideaway was the perfect home base for our Kauai vacation. The unit was clean and well stocked, the furniture was comfortable, the beds were extremely comfortable, even the pull out sofa for our son. Our daughter was very happy in the guest room, and the master bedroom was perfect. We were a little concerned about the lack of windows/view in the master, but it ended up being perfect because the room stayed so dark and quiet.

The kitchen was better stocked than any rental we have ever stayed. Plenty of dishes and cookwear, basic cooking ingredients, condiments, spices and even some leftover ice cream bars in the freezer. The housekeeper did a great job keeping the place clean. She was still there when we arrived and she was very helpful and friendly.

the nene geese were a joy during the morning and throughout the day, and every night there were one or two lizards on the lanai walls.

Tons of snorkel and swim gear for sharing, as well as pool noodles, water shoes, boogie boards and beach chairs. We made good use of all of it. There was even spare sunscreen, lotion, shampoo, soap and other items in the bathrooms for sharing.

The washing machine didn't work as well as it could. The clothes didn't always come out completely clean, but for a week, it was okay. I will say that the washer and dryer were very fast - which was nice.

The location of the condo was perfect. We loved Hideaways Beach just down the path (steep though, so don't try and do it in flip flops). We walked over to St. Regis one day to check out their beach, but didn't much enjoy it. We drove into Hanalei every day which is only about a 5-10 minute drive and we loved swimming at Hanalei Bay.

The pool was great. Clean and well maintained. Our pre-teen/teenage kids loved going for a "night swim" after a long day.

Every morning we sat on the lanai and sipped coffee and enjoyed the view for at least two hours. Breathtaking.

This unit was honestly perfect. I can't find any fault in it. The owners clearly take pride in it and want to make it as comfortable and convenient as possible - and they have succeeded. It was spacious, open and perfect for our family of four. We are actually talking about taking our in-laws the next trip and will definitely stay in the same unit. We all agree that this is now our home base for all future Kauai stays.

Mahalo.
