The cottage has been an ideal setting for family vacations for many years. Many of our guests return year after year.
The unique charm of Naramata located on Okanagan Lake is ideal for instant relaxation and year round enjoyment including summer beach holidays, spring and fall winery tours and hiking breaks and winter time trips to Apex ski resort near Penticton. Naramata is a rare unspoiled area of the Okanagan valley and it retains the rural appeal of a wine and fruit growing area . The cottage is located in the village and has a peach tree, eating grapes, apricot tree, wisteria and roses which give guests a unique and charming vacation experience.
The house is ideally located to walk everywhere. There are great walks up the hills through the orchards and vineyards right from the door. The beach access is the best in Naramata both to our own beach and the Manitou Park Beach. There is a cook's kitchen for your enjoyment and convenience.
We enjoy swimming or floating out to the dock in the sheltered bay in front of the cottage. The beach is sheltered and suitable for younger children (with adult supervision.)
Winery tours and vineyard lunches are nearby and are great ways to relax on vacation. We enjoy boating into Penticton and going for lunch at the Merganser restaurant where you can dock right at the door of the restaurant. We also enjoy walks high up on the hills above town
on the KVR trail. The views are wonderful.
The cottage is also an ideal launch point for biking up into the hills or around the wineries.
This cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away. Right in the heart of Naramata Village and only steps from the lake. Our dogs loved it and so did we. The Cottage itself is bright, clean and comfortable and Jackie (the owner) is very responsive and easy to deal with. We will definitely stay here again.
At the last minute we lucked into finding this gem of a cabin on the beach and right smack in the middle of wine country. The cabin is not a 5 star hotel but instead your classic large 3 bedroom cabin literally right on a beautiful sandy beach, furnished with moderate furniture that you and your dogs (yes, dogs) can come in off the beach, dust off the sand from your feet and just relax into. The kitchen? Don't let the current photos fool you. It's replete with a new large beautiful French 5 burner, 2 oven very high quality gas stove and a large hood. Perfect for anyone who loves to cook. Beds are great. We spent our time reading, walking, and driving to local wineries up and down the valley. All in all a great quick getaway from the city. Plan to be back.
Very convenient for Winery tours. There are many wineries on the Nara mata bench. The wakeboarding/ski boat picks up guests at the cottage . Lovely quiet beach in front of house and at Manitou park. A selection of books and games is provided. Delightful walks or cycling from the door in the village. The market is on Weds with fresh fruit and vegetables and local crafts etc. Moorage and boat launching are close and available at very reasonable rates. The Kettle Valley Railway Trail can be easily accessed above Naramata. The views of the valley are stunning.
