My adult daughter and I stayed here for two nights to explore the coast before heading into the hills of wine country. This place really felt like home. The beds were quite comfy, and the kitchen was great! I am a chef, so know my way around a kitchen. LOL! However, other than breakfast, we really didn't cook because that was why I was on vacation - to let someone else cook for me. The little town of Stinson Beach is quite small, and has a tiny grocery store, but we were surprised at the quality way it was stocked! It seriously looked about the size of a gas station convenience store, but was so wonderful. Guacamole and salsa were stellar as were organic cheeses and produce! The cottage is a very short walk down a cute little path to the beach, and of course close to town. We had such an incredible dinner at the Parkside Cafe, we went back for breakfast! It was also fantastic. As we explored the coast, we stopped at a place right on the highway just north of Stinson Beach, called Tony's. Oysters Bingo might be the best oyster dish I have ever had in my life. It was their version of Oysters Rockefeller and simply delicious. Their shrimp and crab ceviche was unique in presentation and also yummy. Crab was in season, so one day we ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect for someone who doesn't wish to stay right in San Francisco, but wants to explore Muir Woods, and the charming coastal towns like Bolinas.
Lived up to its description. Our family selected this place as we had a number of kid games in the nearby area. The proximity to the beach allowed us to take great walks as well as enjoy the sunset. We had some rain so the games, puzzles and dvd’s allowed our kids to relax when they couldn’t go outside. Excellent communication and had no problems. I would come back again.
My husband and I had the pleasure of renting this perfect beach cottage while attending a wedding on Stinson Beach. It exceeded our expectations in every way.....great location, garden, and cozy furnishings. It was so quiet and peaceful......hopefully we will be able to return to make more memories!
This house suited my family perfectly. We felt just like home and we had enough space for our toddler and baby to play. The fenced yard made it easy with my older one to play outside too! Rodger was very helpful and provided us with a travel crib so we didn't have to bring this on the plane.
We went to the beach EVERY single day of our vacation, Stinson Beach is really beautiful! We also visited around (San Francisco area) with the kids and it was nice to come back to the cottage at the end of the day. Would definately go back if it was closer from Quebec!!
This house suited my group of 3 perfectly. The queen bed was so comfortable, the open floor plan with the kitchen, dining area and living room made it easy for everyone to hang out, and the front yard was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of seating. The beach takes literally a minute to get to, and we were able to hear the waves from the house.
My sister, my mom and I stayed for the weekend and could not have found a more perfect place to stay. The house is close enough to town, but far enough away and the access to the beach was a short walk away. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Dealing with Rodger was very easy and if I ever have the opportunity to return to Stinson Beach, I would definitely book this house again.
