This charming Parisien flat is situated in the heart of Paris. Two Minutes walk away from the Jardin des Plantes, Notre Dame, the Institute du Monde Arabe, and the Quais de Seines and their famous Bouquinistes. Within walking distance from the wonderful open market on the Rue Mouffetard. This calm and sunny flat is situated on the third floor WITHOUT A LIFT.
This is a very animated quartier during the day, and quiet in the evening, but 5 minutes away from the flat are fabulous little French Bistros and cafés, that remain full of life until late at night.
The area is very safe, and it there is no problem to walk at night, the metro station Jussieu is 3 minutes walk away down the street. There are also regular buses and now the new French Velib bicycles, if the weather is nice this is a really great way to visit Paris.
The flat consists of a large bedroom, with one queen bed that can be made up into two single beds if necessary, it is filled with beautiful pictures and books, and most importantly a collection of very rare and original photo albums and diaries, making fascinating reading about the owners grandfathers travels round the world in 1895.
The second room has a small kitchenette with sink and microwave, and a table and armchairs. Leading off to a small bathroom with shower, sink and lavatory.
This flat is very light and sunny, as it is full of windows that give a cross light onto the courtyard on one side and a calm street on the other.
You will find in the fridge on arrival, everything you need for French breakfast during your stay.
You may arrive at any time you want, the owner will welcome you, and ensure that your stay be a memoriable one.

After my years at college in England and my years in Bermuda,I went around the world and afterward I settle in Paris in 1968, Working as a Public Relations, in different field.
I worked at TWA , travel agencies, advertising , movies, The Coca Cola Company, and now I am taking care of my guests...and just love it !
As I do a lot of traveling , I exactly know what my future guests will look for when they come and stay with me, and we are always home to welcome them and give them all informations they might need, transportation to arrive home from airport or railways station. all the best address near by home etc....
This is a fantastic flat, in the perfect location.
It is close to the metro and mostly in walking distance to the main attractions.
Catherine is the best host ever. Upon arrival she helped us with our bags, offered us a drink and gave us a detailed map with directions on how to get everywhere we needed.
We will definitely be back
Thanks Catherine for a fantastic stay and great end to our honeymoon :)
Our first time in Paris and Catherine's wonderful hospitality and outstanding apartment helped to make our visit perfect. An ideal location in a quiet neighborhood just a block from a metro station and only a few blocks from the Seine River. This clean apartment had everything we needed. Lots of electrical outlets, kitchen and bath supplies and a nice size bedroom and bathroom that fit my 6'4" frame. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable. Every time we returned to the apartment after a day in Paris we found it so very restful. Great security in and out of this third floor apartment helped to make us feel safe. No elevator, but 57 steps that we came to find endearing. We would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely return if we're ever in Paris again.
I visit Paris often, mostly work, but staying at Catherine's place is every thing you need. Great location, comfortable, clean place and super sweet Hostess!
I felt at home from the moment I saw her. She is Parisian Best kept Secret.
Thank you again, and see you soon!!!
There is absolutely no doubt that Catherine's is the best place for a couple to stay in the city if you want to, for however long, live your days as a Latin Quarter Parisian, and experience the city full up. Photos and reviews capture all you need to know - safe, great location, access to markets, etc. - but the intangibles are what make you fall in love with this place: the circular stair climb, the distant conversations that drift up from the street and the sense that you are very welcome to this place and to this city . . . and there is no better host that Catherine! It is impossible to stay here and feel you haven't found a new friend and a very special connection to Paris. We'll be back!

We would like to add our five star opinion of Catherine's wonderful apartment. This was just the beginning week of a month-long trip to Europe and these accommodations were indeed a highlight. We'd read all the reviews and descriptions, but at the end of the day you really can only hope for the best as you travel clear across the world. This apartment was everything that had been described, but more importantly, it was everything that anyone could need during a trip to Paris. We were thrilled with Catherine's welcome. Her maps, directions and recommendations were spot on and while she wasn't there for our entire trip, her friend who filled in as our hostess, was equally kind and helpful.
The apartment itself is in a great and convenient location. It's a really a lovely mix of current and antique pieces, beautiful old floors and modern appliances and fixtures. Breakfast was a nice touch and that enabled us to start each day with a light meal while using good wifi to keep up with things back home.
All in all, we'd recommend this apartment highly and would love to return someday.
The flat was really great with tasteful decoration and convenient furnishing, it was also very well located with metro to be quickly in the very historical center of Paris. Catherine was a perfect host, organised and kind and most helpful to show us the good addresses around. Apart from the absence of elevator which can be hard for families with heavy luggages, a most beautiful stay.
