About Pam Meyer

The Smoky Mountains offers so many of the things I love to do; hike, bird watch, looking for flowers and waterfalls. Living at the beach, while very beautiful, I do appreciate the change of scenery and being among the giant trees and seeing the beautiful mountain vistas. I work very hard and am always excited to head to my mountain home and relax a bit. (as an Amelia Island Realtor I am never really 'off-duty'). I enjoy bringing friends or family with me to hike the trails and share a meal on the porch and take in the view from the cabin.

Pam Meyer purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Pam Meyer chose East

I was a very picky purchaser and I am sure I drove my Realtor crazy looking at everything that came close to meeting my specific needs. I had to have a fantastic view with a feeling of privacy and a comfortable, newer cabin with 2 living areas. When this one came on the market I made a quick 8 hr drive up to see it and then back the next day. I called to make the offer and someone else had beat me to it. Amazingly their deal fell through and I was able to step in an purchase the cabin. I chose this cabin because it has AMAZING views, is private yet close to the Park (centrally located between the Greenbrier entrance and the Main, Sugarlands entrance) and was much nicer than so many I looked at. I love the 3 decks and having the main living room plus the downstairs family room with the game table and TV entertainment. We always have a great time!

What makes this cabin unique

Waking up in the morning and looking outside first thing is when the view is especially gorgeous and makes me smile and feel happy to be alive. It is close to shopping the Arts and Crafts community as well as the grocery store and good restaurants off the beaten path. I love NOTseeing other cabins around me, but knowing they are nearby if needed. I appreciate the option of some of us being upstairs enjoying conversation and others downstairs watching a movie or playing a game.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hello Pam,

Just wanted to pass along a few quick words of appreciation and praise from our stay. We had a great time and the cabin was absolutely fantastic--just what we were looking for. The location was perfect--not too far, not too close--and the view was simply incredible. And all the amenities we could ask for were virtually right at hand. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Warm regards,

Jeff XXX

Amazing view

  • 4 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay at See Forever! It was very clean and well-kept with spectacular views on every level. The beds were a little hard for our liking. This cabin is located in a great location to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay! I love a firm bed so I am sorry they were a little too firm for you. Perhaps I should get some toppers for those who like a softer bed. Thanks for letting me know.

Awesome views from the deck. Ideal for two or three couples looking for weekend getaway. Just a few minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Good spacing between adjacent cabins for privacy. Fully equipped kitchen with any pot, pan or utensil one might need. Comcast super high speed Internet, you could easily work remotely from this cabin. We highly recommend this cabin.

Beautiful views

  • 4 of 5

This cabin lived up to its name in regards to the views! You can see for miles from all levels! We had 6 people, and there was plenty of room for everyone in our family. The cabin was clean, and the kitchen well-stocked. The grills are small and charcoal, so it will take some time to cook dinner if you plan to grill out. Also, one suggestion would be to upgrade the TVs in all rooms. They are small and outdated, and difficult to see from any distance. There were a few minor issues noted upon arrival, and Pam ensured that they would be taken care of at the earliest possible time. She was very responsive. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and I would consider renting this cabin again. It is close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge with gorgeous mountain views!

Owner's Response: Thank you and I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin and I hope you do come back. I appreciate the feedback. The grill is fairly new and typical of what you find at many of the cabins, but I know what you mean if you are used to a large gas grill like I have at home and you probably have. For a large group you would have to cook steaks in 'shifts', so to speak. The family room TV is the large TV and set up for family movie time or games. I know 19" or 24" in other rooms seems small by today's standard of large TVs, but as long as they work I need to keep them :) Thanks, again!

Amazing! Everything we hoped for & more!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here the first week in July and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice! We vacationed with our two daughters (ages 10 & 14) and my mother. The layout was perfect as the girls were able to have their own space on the bottom floor and the first floor master was perfect for my mom so she wouldn't need to climb stairs. My husband and I enjoyed the solitude of the 3rd floor and the private balcony! The house and decor was beautiful and cozy, yet with room to spread out.

We ate most meals at the cabin and found the kitchen well stocked to suit all of our cooking needs. Having a washer and dryer was also very convenient, so we didn't have to travel home with dirty laundry. The water pressure in the showers was wonderful and the hot water plentiful.

We experienced thunderstorms on most days of our stay and that only enhanced the beauty of the area. We did lose power for about 2 hours and Pam was absolutely wonderful and contacted the power company to inform them of the outage. We were very surprised at how quickly the power was restored given the fierceness of the storm. It was quite wild to watch from the safety and comfort of the house!

The drive up to the house was an experience as the road is windy and narrow, but it was paved and the parking area was perfect for our two cars. It was nice being able to carry things directly into the kitchen in just a few steps.

You are located very close to the Arts and Crafts loop and very convenient to the grocery store and all the stores and attractions in Gatlinburg. Definitely take your time to explore the National Park. We saw a momma bear and two cubs on our way to Cades Cove and a couple of days later watched a herd of 14 elk just outside of Smokemont on our way to Cherokee.

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations! You cannot go wrong selecting this cabin for your vacation!

Thank you very much Pam for your wonderful hospitality!

What a treat!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 loved staying at this cabin. It was so spacious and clean and the views are just unbelievable. I loved that you had the feel of being out of town and in the mountains but still 20 minutes from both the Gatlinburg strip (even closer to the Arts & Crafts community) and Pigeon Forge. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of sight seeing. Pam was very responsive to any questions or issues we had. We were so sad to leave and hope to come back someday!! Would stay here again without hesitation.
