Charleston is a peninsula. Beaches on nearby barrier islands are a 15-20 minute drive on weekdays; weekend traffic during summer months can be quite heavy.

About the owner: My husband is a South Carolina attorney and I am a licensed real estate broker. We initially purchased our downtown condo as a second home and began renting it in 2007. We live at Folly Beach, about 15-20 minutes from downtown. It is my policy to meet our guests when they arrive and upon their departure. Whenever guests are staying at our condo, I make certain that I am available 24 hours a day by mobile phone and home land line. If, for any reason, I am out of town, I have a family member or close friend fill in for me.
Why the Owner Chose Ansonborough, Charleston, SC, USA:
I don't think you would find a better location - close to everything, but away from noise and college area. Even Harris Teeter,, a local grocery store, is just a short walk from our place.
