About Linda

We have been property owners (long term rental homes) for over 40 years. We fell in love with Estes Park and the mountains and wanted to spend more of our time here. We purchased Pine Cone Cabin in 2004 and it has been everything we had wanted in a vacation home. We now have the wonderful opportunity to share our home with our special guests and see the joy they find in the Estes Park and Rocky Mountain area!

Linda purchased this house in 2004

Why Linda chose Front Range

Pine Cone Cabin is in a unique location. Located on a private, in-town, road. Close to all of the attractions, restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, and RMNP, yet you have nice privacy and a truly beautiful setting at the cabin. You will be staying on your own piece of the mountain and will love the surroundings!

What makes this house unique

The beautiful, private, location, yet close enough to walk to town is so unique. Kind of the best of everything! Comfortable for couples and families.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We really enjoyed out stay here. The highlight of our whole trip was watching 15 elk walk by the cabin on the little path next to the cabin. What an experience!

Home yet still on vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time, pine cone cabin was over the top. Linda was outstanding with providing everything in the house, books, games even if you did laundry there. The hot tub was nice and clean. Thank you so much for allowing us to come and visit some of Gods most beautiful land and feel like we are at home.

your friend,

Peaceful and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was so nice and comfortable. We loved how well stocked the kitchen was - which made it very easy to cook a few meals. I loved the hot tub after a long hike, and having 3 different decks was nice. I spent a good bit of time sitting out and watching the hummingbirds, but the highlight of our stay was seeing a black bear walk through the property early one morning!

Don't pass this place up when looking in Estes Park

  • 5 of 5

My family just returned home from an another amazing trip to Colorado!! We always use VRBO, and have stopped using hotels due to the amount of space and amenities a house/cabin provide. This cabin was perfect. It was well stocked, as we only needed to make a grocery run. It was very clean & beds were comfortable. Appreciated the washer & dryer too!! Very close to RMNP, and town of Estes Park. We were slightly secluded in the woods, but yes you can see other cabins. We never really saw anyone, and this never bothered us. If you are looking for a comfortable cabin close to activities this is definitely for you. I would highly recommend. If we return to Estes Park, this would be our go to cabin. No need to try another. Thanks again Linda!!!

Nice Cozy Private Cabin, Close to downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park

  • 5 of 5

The owner was great to work with and this place went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nice. For instance, almost every place has your basic household needs, but Pine Cone Cabin had those plus some. As an example, they had several condiments in the refrigerator and cabinets, which we always end up having to purchase in other places we stay. Plus when we did go shopping, we forgot to purchase Taco Seasoning and figured oh well that scratched that idea, until we noticed this place had that as well. Thanks to that, we were able to still have Taco's one evening during our stay.

The cabin itself was wonderful, perfect for a family of four. The pictures on the website do a great job of showing you exactly what the place looks like. For the week, our kids had their own area (downstairs), and then the adults had the upstairs. The hot tub was also nice after hiking in RMNP and walking through Estes Park all day. The location of the cabin was great as well, very close to downtown Estes Park, yet secluded since it was located in the area of the Aerial Tram in town. Rocky Mountain National Park is a must see for anyone visiting the area and one of the entrances to the park is also located very close to this cabin. If you do visit the Park, we would highly recommend driving the Trail Ridge Road in the Park over to Grand Lake, if that is open.

It was a great stay overall, and we will certainly stay again if we visit Estes Park in the future. We also will recommend this place to anyone we know looking to visit the Rockies soon. Thanks for everything.
