Why Thomas Byrne chose Telluride

I built this building in 2002. My dream was to live in Telluride and enjoy the mountains and rent out the condos to guests visiting Telluride. I ave traveled throughout North America climbing nd skiing and Telluride is easily the most beautiful mountain town.

What makes this condo unique

The thing that is most unique about this condo, is that it is a large 3 bedroom condo on the sunnyside of town. Most of the condos in town are on the shady side. It is still only 2 blocks to Chair 7!

Great location, just a short walk to downtown. Lots of light in the house, large windows and sky lights. It was very convenient to be right by the grocery store and off of the busy main street. Lots of parking. Thomas was very nice and welcoming. Thanks for the great stay.

Dirty, bug infested rental with musty linens and broken furniture and appliances

We arrived to town late, quickly met the owner to get the keys and had to immediately leave for an event. Unfortunately, we did not notice the house had not been cleaned. We complained and the owner did have the house cleaned the next day. After cleaning, the maid service representative said, "I don't understand why he didn't call us before you arrived." The freezer door would not close until after the maids defrosted it. The furniture and carpets were still stained and smelled bad even after the house was cleaned. The sink in the laundry room was covered in a gooey residue the maids could not remove. It was warm outside, so we had to leave the windows open (no A/C). There were no screens on the windows and the owner could not locate them; therefore, flies, mosquitoes, and bees filled the house. The top rafters had huge spiderwebs full of dead insects. We washed clothes on the third day and the dryer was broken. We contacted the owner and he said that it would be fixed soon. He claimed to look at the dryer the next day, while we were out, but it was not fixed. The sheets and towels were threadbare and the pillows and bedspreads were musty and old. There was no sheet on the master bed, just a grungy, inside-out mattress pad. We bought new pillows and sheets after the first night. There were also rotten deck boards and the outdoor chair seats were broken. The house was so disgusting and uncomfortable that we cut our vacation short and left town. While we were driving home, the owner called and asked us to “unblock” the last week of our rental agreement, because he had a potential renter. He told us he would refund our money for the last week if he could get a renter. We did not know how to unblock the dates so we contacted HomeAway. The representative told us this is not something a renter does, it is up to the owner to unblock the dates and the owner should know this policy. We filed a complaint with HomeAway with pictures and are still waiting on a resolution by the owner, despite frequent attempts to contact him. Furthermore, the photo of the house on the website shows the front of the house. The house is actually divided into a few condos. The entrance to this rental is accessed through a dirty, side alley at the back of the house and behind the garage, not the front door. We rented the house based on the reviews. It should have been nicer for the price, at the very least, clean, without bugs and with working appliances.

Great long term rental

Stayed here for a month. Very spacious with great interior layout and a big deck for families. Convenient to downtown restaurants, attractions and grocery. Our host Tom was very responsive to a few minor needs and also provided a number of insights on the local area for dining, recreation and sight-seeing.

Great condo and location

Condo was great! It has a very nice master living area which the photos don't do it justice. Sleeps everyone very comfortably, and is walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay in again!

Great location and roomy gathering areas. Lovely master suite separate from the other living areas and great deck. Thomas was very helpful and able to pop in if needed for anything.
