TAKE YOUR TIME/BE INFORMED

1.) We know it's easy and fast to just skim through listings. Planning your travel itinerary and rental property can be a daunting task. When inquiring on large volumes of listings, it's easy to get confused. Make sure you understand what you are renting and that you have not mixed up your listings. Always ask questions. DO NOT make assumptions about anything as you inquire on each listing during your rental property search. Do not assume that rental property owners know what is important to you or what your expectations are. Every traveler's needs and expectations are different.

WHY HAVE YOU NOT HEARD BACK FROM US WHEN YOU WANTED A RESPONSE?

2.) Sometimes our inbox gets swamped or we have to take a few days away from reservations and it's just not possible for us to get to all of the emails.

3.) Our Rates Range from $125-$525 per night. Most reservations fall in the middle of the range. Rate calculations are dependent on many factors.

RENTAL EXPECTATIONS

4.) We do not provide rentals to help travelers have the perfect vacation. We are not here to "Serve Others" like hotel staff would. We primarily provide rentals to travelers who need temporary housing for relocations, work assignments, and medical emergencies. HomeAway, and its affiliated companies, give travelers the visual expectation that they will receive top tier luxury rentals and vacations by using their listing website. We do not provide a luxury or high-end rental. We provide budget/economy rentals that are comfortable and clean. If you have high expectations, our rentals will not meet your needs. We would rather have our guests come in with low expectations and arrive to their property pleasantly surprised, than come in with high expectations and be unhappy. Over the years, more than 90% of our guests have been very satisfied with their rental experience.

The following is our Listing Description: Very Stylish and Comfortable 2 bedroom suite in La Jolla just on the edge of UCSD. Quiet, relaxing, and within a very quiet community. Pool, hot tub, gym, and more. Full Amenities. Close to bus lines and shopping center. 1min to UCSD, 5min to beaches and Scripps Aquarium, 10min to Sea World, and 15min to San Diego Zoo.

La Jolla is one of the nicest areas in all of San Diego. We are approximately 5 minutes to the La Jolla Beaches and 'The Village'. These beaches are definitely the most sought after beaches in San Diego. Our rental property is only 2 blocks from hundreds of shops, restaurants, and several banks and grocery stores.

SUMMERTIME RENTAL INQUIRIES

5.) Attention Summer Travelers: If you are requesting a reservation between the dates of July 1-August 31 please DO NOT send more than 1 email inquiry for ALL of our properties combined. Please do not flood our inbox with inquiries and additional emails if we have not responded to you yet. Summer Rates: Mid-June to Mid-September Rates are $225/nt and upwards. Please read our rates section in this listing. If you are open to both one bedroom and two bedroom rental options you may state so in your inquiry notes. We have other HomeAway listings at this rental property. Thank you for your cooperation.

***Our rental properties book out very quickly. The best deals can be found during the off-season (October 1-February 28) not including holidays.***

A/C

6.) Our rental has Air Conditioning. Most apartments in San Diego do not have central air conditioning. Air Conditioning is only needed a few months of the year, usually mid summer to early fall, and on the rare occasion when there is a heat wave. If you are elderly or have a medical condition that requires central air conditioning, please email us with that specific requirement. We use very powerful large portable Air Conditioning Unit(s) that remain in our rental year round and have worked very well for many years for our guests.

Help!!

Hi!! I am trying to figure out how to book this beautiful rental at La Jolla for my family for our trip out to CA. I have sent a message and got a quote and I for the life of me can't find a link to book it. I really want to stay here because it looks so nice and the reviews are great. Awesome!

The condo was everything that it was listed to be! Clean, comfortable, and it had an awesome kitchen! The only problem that I had was the air conditioning or the lack thereof, it was quite difficult to keep the condo cool. We would definitely return but during a cooler season. Very reasonably priced!

Owner's Response: We're so glad this guest enjoyed her stay. Her group stayed in our rentals during the hottest week of the year. San Diego was going through a heat wave and at the end of her stay we had the History-Making SDGE Power Outage that effected over 4 million power users in San Diego, LA, Arizona, and Baja, and lasted over 24hrs. Too many people were running their air conditioners ;-) during that heat wave.

Nice place to stay for a family vacation

We stayed here for a week while on vacation with our three kids.

Jessica, the coordinator, was very professional and took care of everything during the booking process.

The beds were very comfortable (seemed to be pretty new) and it was nice to have a full kitchen and washer and dryer.

The condo is well located - it was 10-20 minute drive away from several beaches, 5 minutes to Whole Foods, 20 minutes from the Zoo and 25 minutes to Petco Park. You will need a car.

Parking is right outside the condo. There is one flight of stairs up to the condo and another flight of stairs inside the condo up to the two bedrooms. (The outside stairs were in disrepair when we were there but the condo maintenance come by as we were leaving and were repairing them).

We never used the pool or tennis court during our stay, but I walked by and they appeared clean and nice.

The appliances in the kitchen are new (electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator). It is a small apartment type kitchen but plenty of space to prepare quick meals for the family.

It is very nice that they provide beach towels, toys, and chairs for use (you will probably want to buy or rent a beach umbrella if you are spending a day at the beach).

The unit does not have central A/C (many places in San Diego do not) but they provide portable units for your use if you need them (we never did - sleeping with the windows open was quite nice).

Neighbors seem to be mostly students at the nearby University. They all seemed nice and the area was quiet and felt quite safe.

My only real suggestion (which I left with Jessica when we checked in) is it is time for them to have the carpets in the unit cleaned (our feet and socks got dirty walking around in the condo). She may have already taken care of this by now. And the hair dryer in the unit only blows cold air. These were relatively small issues to us.

Overall, this is a great, affordable place to stay while on vacation. Well located and appropriately furnished.

Owner's Response: The rental is approx 7 minutes,(1 mile) to the nearest beach. The complex where our rentals are located has mostly working professionals, some graduate students, some families, and some retired occupants. It's a very well-mixed living environment. The area is quiet and safe as well. The carpets in all of our rentals are cleaned regularly. These guests rented around the same time that the parking lots had been re-paved, and they unknowingly were tracking asphalt dust into the rental with their shoes. Just as a precaution we have since placed a "shoes-off" request, while guests are inside of the rental, to maintain a clean enviroment for all guests. The hair dryer has been replaced.

Very Nice!

The Apt was vey clean and nice. It had everything we needed and more. Well stocked kitchen and Beach Gear. It was a great location for Sea World (10 min.) and La Jolla Shores beach (5min). Grocery stores and restaurants were nice and close(2mins.) It was one of the nicest units we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable beds too! :-)
