Great home in a great town ,

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay. The house is ideal for two couples sharing. It has many different areas with comfortable seating, (inside and out) , a well equipped kitchen and barbecue area, and a plethora of good books. The vonage and smart TV were also appreciated. Nicolas was an invaluable asset as he helped our transition to life in San Miguel. We can’t wait to return.

Casa Clara was a hilltop paradise

  • 5 of 5

The photos don't adequately portray the perfect serenity of this San Miguel gem. The lovely terraces, outfitted with several comfortable seating areas and planted lushly with flowering trees and shrubs, beckoned us outdoors each morning for coffee and in the afternoon for happy hour. We couldn't have asked for a better layout; perfect for two couples. Spacious enough for a gathering, but offering private spaces indoors and out, on the patios outside each bedroom. The place was meticulously clean and well-appointed with every convenience, especially in the talavera-bedecked kitchen. An added bonus was the little convenience store just outside the back gate.

It was perched just above the Arcos de Atascadero, an easy walk to to Parroquia and not a bad climb on the way back. Thank you to Chet and Claire Kozlowski for creating this paradise.

Absolutely amazing home with tons of light and a prime location

  • 5 of 5

Staying at Chet’s home was a wonderful experience! With views of the Parroquia, walls of glass, high ceilings and more outdoor living spaces than we could possibly enjoy, this home embodies the best of what San Miguel de Allende has to offer! Throughout the day natural light fills the home, with abundant windows to open to bring the outdoors inside. The rooms are huge, the kitchen has everything one needs to create any meal, and there’s a large garage to accommodate any vehicle. We appreciated the hill from town as it helped us to justify trying more delicious food! There’s a tienda across the street with all necessities, and larger supermarkets are minutes away.

Nicolas, the property manager, was always available to help with whatever we needed as well. We hope to stay here again in the future as this was truly a home away from home.

Views and comfort

  • 5 of 5

We spent the month of January in San Miguel. We were welcomed immediately by Nicolas, who took care of anything that might have come up. The home has an amazing garden and views. It's comfortable and has everything that you might need for a stay in SMA. We ate, we drank, we walked everywhere and we lost weight! There is lots to see and do.

repeat renter

This year will mark my tenth visit to Casa Clara. I return year after year because it is an exceptionally beautiful estate home in a quiet quaint town. It truly has become my home away from home. Nicolas the caretaker and Chet the owner take good care and have great attention to detail. All amenities are available for a more than comfortable stay. The home is perched up on a hill that provides the perfect spot for sunsets and an incredible view of the church-filled town. It is surrounded by lush garden courtyard providing plenty of serene spots to recline. I travel a lot but I rarely return year after year to the same place. I plan to continue my return visits to this magnificent home in this enchantingly beautiful town for as long as the house is available!
