Our house is located in the southwest of Cape Coral in a very quiet location.
The new marina Cape Harbor with small shops and restaurants is within walking distance.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is of course fully air conditioned. In the open plan living area with relax sofa and armchair you will find a large 42 'TV with cable, a large dining room with 6 seats and the new kitchen with granite cover leaves nothing to be desired. Throughout the house and on the terrace high speed wireless internet is available. The Master Bedroom is equipped with a 32 'TV. As a special extra, the beds all have a cover bed (Comforter Duvet) for hygienic reasons. All rooms and the terrace have fans. The terrace with pool and waterfall has a cozy seating and dining area with soft upholstery for 6 people and a gas grill. Shading and privacy are also included.
On arrival and departure, they are checked in and out by our German and English speaking Property Management.

We used Villa Davidson as our home base for visiting family nearby. We didn't use much of the cooking facilities as we were only there 5 days, typically we had breakfast at the house and then lunch and dinner at other places.
The master bed was quite comfortable, and no complaints from those sleeping in the other bedrooms.
The location is easy to get to in Cape Coral. It's a quiet area, great for taking walks or cycling (unfortunately bicycles were not provided).
The pool is small, and the heater had not been on prior to our arrival so the water was a bit cool, but warmed up with some hot weather so we got to use it before leaving.
We would definitely consider staying here again.

Before I write a review of our stay at Villa Davison I would like to say a few words about the owner Andrea. From our initial contact with Andrea she has always responded quickly to our enquiries. The same can be said for Sven, the rental agent who takes care of the property.
They are both a pleasure to deal with.
Andrea's house is a spacious, well appointed home and the details provided in the property description are accurate. It is a real home from home and has everything you will need. The wi-fi is unlimited and worked perfectly during our stay. The house is situated in a very quiet residential neighbourhood but within easy walking distance to the bars and restaurants at Cape Harbour Marina. There is also a Publix grocery store within easy walking distance.
We spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the pool and lanai. The heated pool is a real bonus during the winter months and the cost to heat the pool was only an additional $6 for the two weeks! There are sun loungers and a nice dining area, as well as bbq in the lanai.
Fort Myers is around a 30 minute drive and has a beautiful downtown area and marina and lots of good places to eat (try Ford's Garage for a great burger!). Naples is around a 45 minute drive, Naples is a very 'glamorous' city with a beautiful beach and shopping area. A drive out to Pine Island will give you a real taste of old Florida, apart from the 'artsy' town of Matlacha it is very unspoiled. Bokelia to the North has a great little fish restaurant called Capt n' Cons that serves great fish and cold beer. St. James City to the south has two local bars, Woody"s and the Ragged Ass Saloon, where cold beer is served by friendly waitresses! For a day at the beach head to Sanibel Island, a mix of old Florida charm and ritzy stores, bars and restaurants. Bowman's Beach is our favourite. For a visit to Sanibel/Captiva Island, make sure to be there early and leave shortly after lunch. Traffic on the island can be horrendous and parking at the beach can be a challenge. We have attempted to visit the beaches of Fort Myers and Lovers Key State Park but traffic and lack of parking have always prevented us. Fort Myers Beach looks to be very 'touristy' and appeals more to young party-goers.
Lastly, if you are travelling with a dog this place is perfect. Andrea has a fenced yard and there are plenty of places for long morning walks. Area restaurants are all very pet-friendly and Bowman's Beach allows dogs.
The property was very clean. The area where the house is located is very quiet and near shopping. The layout, location and amenities in the posting were accurate. We especially enjoyed the pool everyday we were in the house. A previous comment complained about the beds, but my family and I did not have any issues with the beds in the house.
We will recommend this property in the future and we plan on making a return visit in the near future.

We didn't leave an entry in the guestbook, but wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. We couldn't have been more comfortable. The furnishings were beautiful, and everything we needed was provided and ready to use. It was so nice to have the beds already made up. We appreciated that the home was located on such a quiet street in a pleasant neighborhood, and there were no stairs to climb!! Our little dogs really enjoyed the fenced in backyard, and the screened enclosure around the patio area allowed them to be outside without worrying they would wander into the pool (one of them is blind). We met the cleaning lady when we arrived and she does an excellent job readying the house for visitors. We did a great deal of sightseeing during the day (such a beautiful area), and we enjoyed relaxing at the house each evening. Thank you again for sharing your lovely home with us.
