In addition to the Shipwreck's Beach the hiking and jogging along adjacent bluffs is a favorite of all travelers and offers picturesque ocean views. The adjacent Grand Hyatt Resort offers many activities including beautiful tropical grounds, restaurants and lounges and nightly traditional Hawaiian entertainment.
Only a short walk away is the popular Brennecke's Beach where you can swim, boogie board, sunbathe or dine at the local's Brennecke's restaurant. The Poipu Sands complex is also close to all local Poipu Beach sightseeing, shopping and additional island restaurants.
Your condominium is located perfectly for your guests maximum enjoyment. The unit has a stunning view of the Shipwreck's Beach ocean and bluffs right from the lanai. The lanai is spacious and oversees the expansive lawn area where your party can play in the open in plain view of everyone. The grande size heated Poipu Sands pool is in view of the unit too with easy pool access.
For the tennis enthusiasts there is our newly surfaced tennis court just outside the door of the unit ready for a family game or competition match. For nightly barbecuing there are multiple on site gas barbeque's for grilling local seafood and meats. The grounds of the Poipu Sands complex are expertly manicured and create a beautiful tropical setting.
Your unit is equiped with many vacation sports items. There are boogie boards, tennis racquets, snorkel gear, beach chairs and an umbrella for the beach. All these are provided in order to make activities affordable, easy and enjoyable for your party's vacation entertainment.

After visiting Kauai for 15 years, we purchased our condo in what we believe is the best location on the island - Poipu Sands. The location is adjacent to the Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck beach, the grounds are spacious and beautifully maintained and the condo complex is not dense with plenty of privacy. We have constantly improved the condo since purchasing it in 2014 and will continue to do. We are fortunate to have such a great place and enjoy sharing it with others. Jeff and Pamela

Poipu Sands- home from home - M & J
223 is a beautifully situated Condo with an ocean view and it has been our pleasure to stay in this unit these past 6 to 7 years for our annual vacation.in.
The apartment is directly opposite the swimming pool and is located adjoacent to the Grand Hyatt which has to be one of the best appointed hotels in the world. They also welcome visitors to their beautiful gardens.
The Condo is comfortably furnished and ideal for 4 people. The current owner continues to upgrade his property to ensure light and spacious rooms. We enjoy the beautiful grounds and there is plenty of scope for long or short walks when you will come across Hawaiian Monk Seals and Green Tutles. This year we saw few whales but most years they are in abundance.
We make the property our home for the time we stay and we will be returning in 2018.
Note: The building work opposite continues but unfortunately this is outside the control of the owner and hopefully will be completed in the coming months. There are plenty of places to escape to it has not stopped our engjoyment of being here. The
Lovely large lanai with well laid out, relatively large condo. This condo was built in 1980 and has had a few improvements such as some new paint & new carpet. Some of the furniture has been recovered. The bed in the master is comfortable. The ensuite shower/tub is large and pleasant. There is some deferred maintenance such as the need to replace a deteriorating dishwasher with rusty racks. The owners have kindly left beach toys/chairs for the use of their renters. Communication can be an issue. At the time of booking this condo, I asked Garden Island Rentals if there was any construction in the vicinity. They told me there was some at the neighboring resort but it did not bother anyone. In fact, when we arrived, the neighboring resort was shrouded in scaffolding, and noisy construction work with heavy equipment operation, sawing & hammering took place from 9 am-6pm weekdays. This unit looked directly across to the construction. It was necessary to go touring rather than enjoy the grounds, lanai or pool area. Because of this experience, we asked the rental company, several days in advance, for a late check-out, on our last day. They neither responded to our phone call or to emails. A copy of this email also garnered no response from the owners. We did not feel this to be the spirit of Aloha.
Dear Maureen and Family, We have communicated directly since you posted your review, but I’d like to also post a response on our VRBO site. We are truly sorry that your visit was disturbed by construction at the adjacent property. Our management company, Garden Island Rentals (GIR), had informed you, as well as other guests, of the construction and had not heard of noise concerns from previous guests. Unfortunately, your stay overlapped with the noisy demolition phase of construction, which has since been completed. Had you notified GIR during your visit, they could have taken steps to help deal with the situation. I apologize that your call for a late check-out was not returned in a timely manner. It is our error. Your check-out was on a Sunday, and the message did not reach us or GIR until the following Monday. The standard procedure is to flag messages such as yours for immediate attention. Unfortunately, that did not occur and your message was not forwarded over the weekend. I am sorry. We have taken steps to ensure a response to all after hour messages in the future. As I stated in our recent direct communication, we would appreciate the opportunity to make amends and to better accommodate your family should you choose to return.
We are right next to the famous Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck's Beach with its scenic bluff and beautiful sandy beach and 1 minute in the other direction from Brennecke's beach with its popular boogie boarding, snorkeling and sunbathing.

Hawaii tax ID: 188-524-3392-01 A 4 night stay is required except between the dates of December 15th and January 15th when a 7 night minimum stay is required. Cancellation policy: Full refund 60 days before arrival. Refund to the extent that the unit is re-leased within 60 days of arrival. Deposits returned within 14 days of departure.
