About Carie Lawrence

As general contractors and custom home builders we have paid special attention to every detail while building the Cabin. This property sits next to our vacation home 'Elk Trail Lodge' so of course we chose to call this cabin 'Elk Trail Cabin'. We are blessed to be able to share this amazing mountain retreat with special guests. It is truly a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends.

Carie Lawrence purchased this cabin in 2008

What makes this cabin unique

White Pass ski area doubled in size in 2011, it's a wonderful family ski area they also just added a second lodge at the top of the mountain. It has the best view of Mt Rainier in the state!

A lovely home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent week at Elk Trail Lodge. It comfortably slept our family of eight and handled all ages from toddler to adult. I was delighted that everything was clean and we all loved how beautifully it was decorated. It would work well for two families as well.

Christmas Vacation/Family Get together

  • 5 of 5

We spent the week with our Son and family for Christmas at this fabulous facility!! We even had a White Christmas--as fresh snow fell just before Christmas. It was spectacular to put it mildly. White Pass is close by for snow skiing. The facility is well furnished throughout, think the only thing we purchased was a cookie sheet which we left there. Had to bake cookies for Santa!! Would definitely stay here again as the location was great!!! Carrie was fantastic in helping answer questions and making sure we were comfortable. Would recommend this facility to anyone. Thank you.

Family gathering

  • 5 of 5

We spent the week end with our two boys and their families at Elk Trail Lodge. The house was perfect and the view of Mt Rainier was spectacular! It has beautiful, expansive grounds. The layout was convenient for all of us. We were delighted that each family had their own bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. We met at ohanapecosh to picnic and walk the trails. The home is so close to Mt Rainier National Park. Not only that, there is a creek near the home that is a quick walk

Better Than The Pictures!

  • 5 of 5

The owner thought of everything! It was a beautiful sight as soon as we turned on to the long driveway bordering the perfectly manicured lawn. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would expect, we didn’t need to bring anything except the food. The home is centered around a giant rock fireplace with cozy furniture, perfect for sinking into after a great hike to Packwood Lake. The bathrooms are stocked with big, fluffy white towels and the bed linens are nice and soft. The deck is complete with a nice BBQ and a hot tub. Carie is very responsive and did everything to make sure we were comfortable and informed about the area, including directions to the creek just a few minutes from the home. A perfect place for a picnic lunch. Our 2 dogs loved he wide open flat yard, plenty of room to run and play. I highly recommend this home, we loved it and will be back!

Owner's Response: I'm thrilled you loved our Cabin! We worked hard to make it a relaxing get-a-way. Winters are also amazing, skiing is just a 25 minute drive to White Pass. Thanks for taking care of our property and you are welcome back anytime! Blessings Carie

Great Escape with

  • 5 of 5

My wife's parents came for a visit and we wanted to show them Mt Rainier. We wanted to stay close to the mountain and found this cabin on VRBO. Both parents are over eighty years old and really enjoyed time in the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin for elderly parents. It was easy for them to move around and access to the deck was easy with no stairs. In addition it was close to Mt Rainier. The cabin was very well maintained nicely furnished. This is an excellent property.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the great review. I'm glad it was a pleasant experience for your parents. I know it can be challenging to find a place to accommodate elderly guests. We hope to see you again in the near future.
