Very cute house

  • 4 of 5

The house was very comfortable enjoyed it, had everything we needed. The only negative is that the yard was extremely overgrown, needs some serious grooming, bushes growing onto porch, could barely see house through overgrowth. McCloud cute little town, great place to escape the valley heat

Very well maintained and nostalgic

  • 5 of 5

I love this little house. My sisters and I stayed here because it reminded us of the summers we spent in McCloud in 1959-63. One of our sisters lived in McCloud and her husband worked for the lumber Mill. We spent summers in the shadow of Mt Shasta and roamed the streets of McCloud back when all the sidewalks were wood plank and the store on Main street was a company owned store. Loved the house and enjoyed the furnishings. Only thing I would recommend is a better cork screw. Ha ha!

Rustic and quaint

  • 5 of 5

The Old Mill House is a rustic , quaint house with the feel of another time. It had a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a lovely yard. We could have used a second bathroom but it wasn't necessary to the enjoyment of the place.

House and yard were everything we needed

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. Plenty of yard for our 3 grandchildren to run and have multiple water gun/balloon fights. The flowers were all blooming and beautiful. The house had all the comforts of home and was very clean. Enjoyed looking thru the memorabilia. To top it off, the fishing at the resourivor was great! We love the McCloud area and wouldn't hesitate to book another stay at the "Old Mill House".

July 4 week getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time I've stayed in the Old Mill House. The home is very comfortable, functional, filled with character, and very well stocked. We enjoyed the almost ice-cold tap water since it was so hot outside. We used the clothes line in the backyard, too, a flashback to the past. I hope to visit again!
