We offer great value and a quality experience in a dynamic neighborhood that is quiet, close to downtown and has many of Montreal’s top restaurants.

Gallery 1 is in a meticulously restored century old building close to downtown, minutes from Place St-Henri subway station (Metro), the Atwater Market and the historic Lachine Canal. An ideal home away from home in one of the most dynamic villages in Montreal called Sud-Ouest. Parking is free in the streets in front and around the building.

This one bedroom ground floor apartment is bright and sleeps 2 to 4. It is an open full equipped kitchen to dining room, a big living room, one master bedroom, a bathroom and utility room. It features one queen size bed and a comfortable sofa double pull-out bed in the den/living room that can be closed for more privacy. The bathroom has a deep tub with shower perfect to relax after good days of sightseeing. Front loading washer and dryer are available in the utility room. Finished with hardwood floors, spotlessly clean, original art decorated, high quality furnishings & linens. Fans installed in every room and central AC for comfort. Two flat screens HDTV, DVD player, Cable TV, Netflix, WIFI high speed internet & bluetooth stereo for entertainment. It is also stocked with books, board games and a small collection of DVD’s for all ages. This unit is handicapped accessible with 36” doors and only one steep outside.

Called Gallery 1 because this is 1 of 3 units in our building isolated to minimize noise between levels. The other unit that we rent is Gallery 2 (#213798) with two bedrooms. You also have indoor access to a large deck (shared with Gallery 2) on the second floor with two patios sets & BBQs next to a roof top garden.

Good food is just steps away at the deluxe IGA grocery store or the delicious Atwater market where you can savor gourmet foods, pastries and deli style food. If you prefer to eat out, we are a few minutes walking from some of Montreal’s top restaurants like Joe Beef, Liverpool House, Tuck Shop, H4C, Smoking Vallée or CHO. If you prefer a drink in a hip setting there is La Drinkerie, Burgundy Lion, Grumman 78 or Ludger and many others just around the corner.

Depending on the season, you could catch a famous Canadians hockey game at the Bell Center, go rock climbing at Allez-Up indoor rock climbing gym or rent a kayak and paddle on the Lachine Canal 2 blocks away from the apartment. You can also walk or cycle on the Lachine Canal bike path which leads to the Old Port and Old Montreal in just 15 minutes. Note that we provide 3 adult bikes free of charge with helmet and locks. Finally, for small children and family there is a nice park with playground and splash pad just one block away.

We love this area, it is vibrant and interesting. The Atwater market is a great place to have a nice coffee and a dessert on weekends and the Canal Lachine area is a daily source of enjoyment in the summer. Great bike paths and walking areas that lead to the Old Port of Montreal.

Good restaurants and we are very close to the subway system (called Metro) downtown reachable in minutes just a couple of station away.

Perfect for everything we needed!

The location was ideal. Walking distance to some fun, quirky restaurants and the trains were easy to navigate! The place matched the pictures PERFECTLY! It was clean, comfortable and gave us a real taste of what daily life is like. The host was wonderful and friendly. We had everything we needed and knew we could contact him if there was anything else to make the stay more enjoyable. This was our first experience using VRBO and I can guarantee that we are going to be consistent costumers, ESPECIALLY at this property. We are already looking into a future visit. No negative feedback at all!

As always fantastic stay in this Saint Henri gem!

We have stayed in all three of the units and have enjoyed every single stay!! The units are well equipped, clean, close to so much and a quick walk to get to the metro, shopping, restaurants etc. We look forward to every stay and are going back again in just a few short days.

Great place to stay in Montreal

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well equipped apartment. The apartment is really quite spacious for 2 people and nicely decorated. It was very convenient for looking at all the sights in Montreal via the Metro, which is a short walk from the apartment. We were able to park our car right outside the apartment with no charge and as we were not there on a Thursday morning, when parking is not allowed, it remained there for the whole of our visit. The IGA grocery store is also a short walk away and is close to the Metro station and so all in all a very convenient location. There are quite a lot of restaurants within walking distance - even on a cold snowy evening - we tried Le Tequila Bar (very close) and Sumac (different).

The view from Mont Royal is worth the uphill climb. There is a small museum in the Banque de Montreal which is worth a quick look and the interior of the Oratoire Saint Joseph is a lovely surprise.

Communication with the owner was easy.

Difficult to find anywhere better.

Spacious, clean, well located, comfortable home from home

Good location, easy to access main areas via Metro. Nice to be able to do own laundry with no hassle. Bike use was easy & easy acces to canal into old port. Was not as light as indicated in pictures but was comfortable & felt like home for the week. Quite a bit of noise from flat above during the day.
