My friends and family says its adorable; to me it's a refuge. My two bedroom, two bath condo in central Palm Springs is located in a small, quiet 1970s complex designed by architect Don Wexler. Everything you need is included: towels, linens, cookware, two TVs, cable, high-speed WiFi, washer and dryer. A short distance to casinos, hiking, dining and nightlife. Those looking to stay closer to home, enjoy the three pools in the complex and the tennis courts.

I think the great community and beautiful greens are the key attractions to this location. The convenience to the mountains, dining and shopping are added benefits.

I have been continually updating the property over the past several years: new master BA (2009); new concrete flooring (2010); new lighting (2011); new desert landscaping (2013 and 2014); a new guest BA (2014); new HVAC (2015); and new kitchen (2016). Nearly everything has been updated and is ready for your vacation.

About Bill

SF resident that needed a break from the wind and fog and found the desert community of Palm Springs. I love the simplicity of the smaller town and the fact that it presents the opportunity to do as much or as little as you like. It is a fantastic getaway for me and I'm ready to share my space with others.

Why Bill chose Sunrise Vista Chino

The complex was designed by Donald Wexler and built in the 1970s. It is a desirable community with one-story structures and abundant green space. The complex is laid-out in an open design which gives the sense of openness and privacy. Approximately 50% of the condo association is full-time residents, who have created a friendly and warm community.

What makes this condo unique

The condo association has three pools, three spas, and tennis courts. Although the community is not gated, it is very private and many of the residents will socialize while swimming, walking to gardening.

Excellent property to enjoy the great vibe of Palm Springs

My husband and I spent 2 months in this property. We loved every minute. The condo is clean, functional and well appointed. Both bathrooms are beautiful. The outdoor patio is large and private. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of storage. The condo property has lots of green space and 3 beautiful pools and hot tubs that were never crowded. One can walk to the grocery store. There is some noise from the airport but it did not have any effect on our stay. Bill, the owner was responsive and easy to work with. It's in a great location for getting everywhere in about 20 minutes. We will be returning to this development!

The property was very clean and comfortable. It is in a good location close to grocery stores and to main roads leading to shopping, golfing, and other activities. It is within walking distance of many stores. The pools are very nice and the other guests were super friendly. The location near the end of the airport runway is noisy but they do stop over night. The owner's representative was very helpful and was willing to listen to suggestions for improvement. I would rent this place again.

Comfortable stay in stylish Palm Springs pad

This 1970s Wexler design section of Palm Springs gives you an immediate touch of the Palm Springs you envisioned from the movies and classic TV shows. The condo was all that I needed with enough modern upgrades (furnishings, bedrooms and bathrooms) to make my stay enjoyable. The heater pools and spa tubs were welcome places to relax after taking in the local attractions. A bonus was walking out of the unit on a cool Jauary morning to see the fresh coat of snow on the mountains.

I was familiar with the area and appreciated the easy walking distance to stores and grocery shopping. It is near the approach/takeoff area of the airport so expect some jet noise particularly when American takes off with their loud MD old aircraft. Otherwise -- relax and enjoy. The owner has assembled a very handy guide to use of the unit and with helpful information about Palm Springs. The owner's representative at check-in and check-out was very responsive and helpful as well.

Great way to get away

The property was ideal. Easily found, just a short trip from the airport and everything else in Palm Springs - such as the restaurants & shops on Palm Canyon. But still calm and relaxing location. Very easy, trouble-free parking - unlike my life here in San Francisco! The unit was full of light, yet private - including the back patio. Spacious rooms - I'm a tall person, often feeling crapped in rentals. The stylish and modern furniture / décor provided a stylish, summery atmosphere - just what you want in Palm Springs.

Quick walk over to complex's the various, large, well-kept pools - one pool gives you a great view of the planes arriving and departing! Great location too if you are a runner, wish to ride your bike or just go for a walk.

Neighbors were friendly and welcoming but left you alone.

Everything worked. Keys were easy to get and give back. No trouble-free stay. I'll be happy to return!

Check-in time is after 3pm.
