Townhome, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12)
We have three children who range in age from 21 to 28. Our kids learned to ski at the Steamboat Ski School when they were much younger. We enjoy all the lovely outdoor opportunities this mountain area has to offer. We especially like hiking, skiing, fishing, and swimming in the hot springs.
Cristina purchased this Townhome in 2008
Why Cristina chose Steamboat Springs
We have been vacationing in Northwest Colorado for many years both in summer and winter. We first visited Steamboat Springs in the winter of 1984. We have skied at different resorts in Colorado as well as in the Alps and always found that we had the best time at Steamboat. We really like the consistently excellent snow and the friendly people here. The lower elevation is a plus compared to other resorts in Colorado, as we can enjoy our vacation without needing to acclimatize. It is easy to fly into Steamboat. Occasionally we drive from Denver. It is a lovely three hour scenic drive. We always go to Steamboat Lake in the summer. The hiking and biking opportunities are unlimited. Snowmobiling at Rabbit Ears Pass in the winter is a blast. Steamboat offers vacation opportunities for all seasons.
What makes this Townhome unique
Our home is within walking distance of the ski resort base. It is located on the quiet side of the mountain village in a neighborhood setting. We are a few steps from the free city shuttle stop. There is no construction nearby. The pool and the hot tubs are in great condition and fun year round. In the summer we can sit on the outdoor patio. In the fall the foliage is breathtaking. The house is spacious and everyone can have their own room. We have enjoyed many evenings watching sporting events together on the big screen TVs.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Everything was fantastic! The location was close to the slopes. The home felt like we were staying with family. Everything we would want or need during our stay was in this home. Would highly recommend forva group.
Wonderful place to share with family...
We had previously visited Steamboat Springs with our adult kids and their spouses about three years ago. We anxiously anticipated returning again and the home was perfect with the perfect match of amenities, comfort, utility and luxury. We had a party of 11 and it was wonderful having the three bedrooms with their own baths along with the other 1.5 baths and two bedrooms. Previously I had rented a large van to transport us around. This time I decided it would be more of a vacation if I left the driving to others. The "purple line" bus was perfect and punctual in getting us to the slopes and back. We unfortunately needed to visit the ER and UC hospital also was conveniently on the "purple line" bus route. Seems that there was a gastrointestinal virus that came to town just before we did. The care at the hospital ER was excellent and the pharmacies at Walmart and City Market were helpful getting our scripts filled for the anti-nausea medications. They are at the "City plaza stop." again on the "purple line" bus route. The kitchen was a delight to cook in and the fireplace cozy. Uber and Lyft provided the evening transportation we needed and we never had trouble getting two cars to transport us around. We had several great meals out and visited the Old town springs one evening. Mt Werner and the skiing was fantastic, but that's another review. Other than the problems with the GI virus, it was a perfect vacation.
We are glad you enjoyed our home and hope you will come again.
Everything was perfection! Enough room for our large party. Beds were comfortable, plenty of linens, everything was clean. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!
Our family of ten (three generations) gathered at your home for a holiday after Christmas.
Our stay was outstanding. The home was just-right in all ways for all ages. The owners were particularly helpful and fun (long distance). Warm and memorable all around. It was easy to prepare and enjoy family feasts and pick-up menus. Steamboat is the best for family skiing at all levels and this home was so accessible for all. We have already recommended it to friends and their friends for summer or winter.
Great family home
The house was wonderful. The kitchen was very well stocked . My husband loves to cook when we go on ski vacations. After opening the cubards and seeing all the great spices, pots, and pans, He knew a cook must own this house. The house had many "extras" that a typical rental does not like laundry baskets, games, etc. it was all very much appreciated. We loved having the 2 living areas! The downside we ran into was that the house was not part of the neighborhood association and we could not use the mountain resorts shuttle. We had to rely on the purple (public) bus Line. Which was great except that it does not run from 11-1 and quits running I think at 6:00 p.m. And steamboat does not have ubur. But the condo is close to the base and u can walk but would not want to walk it in snowboots.
Perfect in Every Way
This was our third visit to what our children are starting to call "our Colorado home". I know, soon they will realize that we are not the lucky owners, but until then I am the hero!!!
Our family loves everything about this home, it is laid out perfectly for family fun. The decoration is mountain luxurious, just the right amount of wood and leather. The two master bedrooms are large with good size restrooms. The home is a skip and a hop from the Gondola nestled in a quiet neighborhood. It is perfectly located for summer and winter activities.
The owners have always treated us like royalty, they are a pleasure to deal with and always accommodating. We simply love everything about "our Colorado home".
