About Deborah Knorr
I am a contractor who specializes in restoration of historic homes in Washington, D.C. My wife and I have lived since the late 1990s in a 1876 Victorian home in LeDroit Park that I spent almost ten years restoring.
Deborah Knorr purchased this Townhome in 1999
Why Deborah Knorr chose Le Droit Park
This is a unique area of Washington, D.C. with great history and architecture. We have enjoyed meeting vistors from around the world in the year that we have offered the townhome as a vacation rental.

Quaint and convenient
We had three families at the house. Never seemed crowded or too big; just right. The house was very easy to drive or Uber to the museums and the Mall. We would recommend.
This IS an "elegant townhome" with much character and comfort for many close to DC attractions.
The property was very clean and well kept. We had 8 people initially and 2 more for the last overnight and we were very comfortable; sleeping conditions were very good. The unit was well stocked with ample clean linens and paper goods (facial tissues/toilet tissue/paper towels). The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils. There are many TV's throughout. There is an off street two-vehicle parking garage which is accessible from an adjacent street. This was particularly useful because on-street parking in unavailable except by permit (the owner will supply permits upon request). Upon arrival, the garage door opener was inoperable. The owner (Patrick) was notified and he had an electrician inspect the same day. He found the garage door opener to be defective and he returned to replace same the next morning. Excellent service! The unit is within close driving distance to the major museums and attractions of DC and the closest Metro station is a short walk. A couple of suggestions we could leave with the owner: 1) would be well to have stair treads and/or a hand rail on the stairs to the basement, and 2) the dining room table top needs to be fastened tightly to the pedestal to prevent rocking.
Our family truly enjoyed our stay in this home. We would not hesitate to return to 215 T St. if we plan another trip to the DC area.
great place - wish I had been able to be there...
My son and daughter in law ended up the only two who were able to make it, they said the house was nice, clean and worked great.
My brother had open heart surgery and so the plan to have 7 of us there from Tuesday to Sunday ended up changing to only two of us there from Wednesday to Saturday. Based on the feedback from my son and daughter, we may try again!
Roomy house at a great location
We were 8 of us , staying for a conference at the convention center. The house is spacious, clean, and in a great neighbourhood (Ledroit Park). 7 min. walk to the subway, 2 min. to a little convenience store, 20 min. walk to the convention center (or one stop by metro). Small restaurants and bars close by, I recommend the Bistro Boheme with Czech Food! The location is quiet and it is great to have a lock box, so you don't have to worry about who gets the keys.
Overall the property was okay we had some issues that were not resolved
When we arrived at the property, the refrigerator was very dirty and had old food in it. It took about 2 hours to scrub it and the microwave out so we could use them. We later tried to eat and found dirty dishes and glasses in the cupboard. Had to run the dishwasher 2 time to clean the dishes and silverware. Then to top things off, the air conditioning did not work. I left a message on the numbers provided and did not get a response. The last thing was the laundry set up that added insult to injury.. the washer was fine, but you had to put 4 quarters in the dryer to make it work !!! Was a JOKE !!
We had a great time
