Nice Comfortable Condo in Brian Head
Pros: Our family of 4 with 2 teenage boys was very comfortable at the Black Diamond Condo, unit G2 the week of 3/11/18. First, the unit was immaculate, which is great. Second, we appreciated how well stocked the unit was with paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, salt, pepper and other spices, cooking oil, coffee, even butter and a couple of beers! Not exactly ski in/ski out but very close. Loved the keypad entry so we didn't have to keep up with a key. Used the hot tub every day. 19-year-old binge watched every episode of Seinfeld, 16-year-old played lots of Wii.
Cons: We never did get the snow cleared as promised. Yes, the driveway out near the street was cleared but a 2 foot drift blocked the garage entry and the bottom of the stairs the entire week and was icy in the morning. In general the place is too dark for me. I missed lights in the showers, the closets, next to the beds, and on the desk. The dark oversized furniture added to the dark heaviness. Also, only one hand towel was allotted per bathroom so I borrowed kitchen towels.
We would rent this Condo again!!
3 families. 4 days over MLK, 2018. Minimal snow fall to date this season, which eliminated ski in/out. When small lift and trail next to condo are not open, cannot ski in/out. Thus the 4 stars. Giant Steps Lodge and lifts are practically next door; same side of the highway. I did see the free shuttle in our neighborhood but not sure where stops were. We ended up driving everyday.
What we loved about the condo is that it is upgraded through and through: linens, towels, kitchen, beds, furniture. One of the most well-stocked vacation homes we’ve rented in terms of linens, towels, paper products, condiments, small appliances, pans, dish ware, silverware, baking pans and cooking utensils. Wifi was strong. TVs work great and many of them throughout the condo. Game room was perfect for the kids. Sleeps 4 in beds and sofa bed. They used tv and foosball everyday but didn’t know how to set up the ping pong table (although everything was provided to play). Thank you for all the space heaters downstairs. We did not use heat after we turned on the fireplace one time. That kept the upper floors warm all weekend. Helpful to have several places to store skis and boards. Also trays here and there for wet boots and the laundry room was perfect for hanging up wet coats and gloves. Cannot park in the garage but we were able to park 3 large vehicles in the driveway back to back. We forgot to call ahead and ask for driveway clearance so we had to shovel the driveway to park. What I’d bring next time: medium pot with a lid, favorite knife and a good can opener. Note: there are a lot of knives, so didn’t get to try all of them. Also there are a lot of pots, but personally couldn’t find a medium pot with a lid.
Lastly, I greatly appreciated working with Chad, the owner. He was quick to respond! He also offered us a generous check in arrangement, which I won’t mention the details here since I don’t want him to feel like he has to offer it every time. Easy check in and out procedure, unlike some places where you need an engineering degree. Garage code handy. We never used the keys. I highly recommend the Home Away or VRBO app. Great condo. Great owner. Great location and with a good snow fall, ski in/out will be amazing!
Our family loved our time at your place. Everything was ready for us and any questions I had for you, you promptly got back to me. It was well maintained and stocked for us. We can't wait to go back. Thank you!!!
The condo was great! We loved the location, the easy of space and jacuzzi!
It was just what we needed!
Its a beautiful place, great location, and enjoyable with spa, dvd's, and game room.
I do with that there was a community bathroom upstairs rather than only master bathrooms, but they did have a community bathroom and shower on the main floor. Lot's of space and fully stocked. I can't complain since it was such a beautiful place.
All activities with 1 hour drive.
