Welcome to our home! We are located a short, picturesque 13 minute drive to downtown Coeur d Alene in Kidd Island Bay (or 5 minutes by boat) on the west side of the lake. Our views across the lake face north and include, Kidd Island, Tubbs Hill, Downtown CDA and the CDA Resort.

This is a newly constructed home for relaxing, playing and entertaining! Tastefully decorated and with a comfortable atmosphere, this home invites guests to relax and unwind. On the main floor there is an open space for family get-togethers and for watching the osprey and eagles catch their dinner! Downstairs are 2 bedrooms with stunning lake views ( One king, one queen) both with en-suite bathrooms. One more floor below is an extra bedroom (One queen) and an extra full size bed in the living area. Walk out the door from this lower level to the grass and have a bonfire or walk down to the dock and dip your feet in the lake. Or hop on your boat to spend the day exploring the many bays and inlets of beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene. There is a canoe for guests to use as well as a trampoline. Kidd Island Bay is a shallower part of CDA Lake but we get tons of late afternoon sun which makes for some loooooong summer days!

Lake Coeur d'Alene and has a myriad of festivals and events during the spring and summer, including the Coeur d'Alene Marathon, the Ironman Triathalon, the Fourth of July celebration, the Wooden Boat Show, and Art on the Green, but there's just as much to do here during the winter! Check out skiing and snowboarding at Schweitzer Mountain and Silver Mountain, or spend a few hours exploring the area's hundreds of miles of snowmobiling trails. For additional thrills, check out Silverwood Theme Park, located 30 miles north. Bike lovers should check out the Coeur d'Alene and the Hiawathia Trails, which provide wonderful scenic rides for the whole family.

About Brianne Ball

We are a family of 5 who moved here from San Diego 13 years ago. We have 3 girls and are self employed. We fell in love with the community of CDA because of all it has to offer but especially it's friendliness!

Brianne Ball purchased this house in 2016

Why Brianne Ball chose Coeur d'Alene

We love this side of the lake. We are out in the country but still very close to town. The late afternoon sun is a bonus as the days are that much longer!

What makes this house unique

You will love all there is to do in this town! Visit CDA Chamber for more info!

Tall Ball house

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful house, well stocked and lots of room. It could use some darker coverings for the windows so you can sleep in. Only bummer is the bay and tons of seaweed so you could not jump off the dock or swim in the bay. Neighbors said they usually don't have that problem.

Owner is very nice and any questions you have are answered quickly.

Don't miss out on the Tall Ball House

  • 5 of 5

Our time at the Tall Ball House was a great adventure. We felt spoiled in the main living area, gorgeous and perfect for our family. Plenty of seating around the table (6 adults/3 kiddos) & the living room was spacious as well. The kitchen is beautiful & well-appointed with massive windows & great views The deck has lots of seating where you can read, bbq or take in the beauty of the location.

The 2 bdrms on the 2nd fl are lovely w/very comfortable soft beds & share a deck. Ea bdrm has its own spacious lav w/ plenty of towels.

The basement has 1 beautiful bdrm. The 4th bed, a full, is in an open room that you walk thru to get to the bdrm. There are no curtains on the windows & the main door to the backyard & lake are in this rm.

The laundry room came in handy & we appreciated the extra beach towels.

The backyard was great. We made s’mores in the large fire pit, enjoyed the trampoline, & floated in the lake. The outside shower came in handy as well.

There was plenty of room to park 3 cars in the 2-car garage/ in front of the garage w/roadside parking above the house on Boisen. There is an extra fridge/freezer in the garage.

Judy, who manages the home, is two doors down. Any ?s were answered quickly. She’s a gem.

You carry out your own garbage/recycle. Not an issue as the drop off is on W. Kidd Island Road. It’s an easy stop as you’re on your way to Silverwood Theme and Water Park in Atholl (a 30-minute drive), or to one of the many beautiful beaches, or a lovely dinner in Coeur d’Alene.

A couple of notes for future guests with smaller children: This house has a lot of stairs. We happened to know this ahead of time, so we took a tension baby gate with us to keep little ones from tumbling down the stairs. While most of the bedrooms have curtains on the windows, they do not block light for naptimes. The counters throughout the house are extremely high. We loved this, because we are a family of giants, but little ones can’t reach the sink to wash their hands.

The only negative part of our stay was something the Ball’s cannot control. The milfoil in the lake is bad this year (2017), which made it impossible to swim off of the dock without getting tangled in the weeds. Floaties and canoes worked fine, though. We had to carefully navigate the milfoil traveling in and out of the dock in our rented boat.

Bottom line, we would definitely recommend the Tall Ball house. You will love your stay!
